Yes there is; as I said, a lab is best. There is technology that could test the muscles, but I don’t think any companies would be willing to shell out the cash to pay for a properly executed experiment in a lab setting.

I wouldn’t necessarily trust a survey as proof of improvement or not. I would prefer some sort of scientific measurement to determine if the muscles got stronger.

Conducting studies. Ideally they’d be conducted in a lab setting, but an informal study would be better than nothing. We’d need a control group, who would perform a kegel routine with no balls, then a group to use each set we’re curious about (for example Luna bead group, Hula bead group) with the same kegel routine. Have the participants journal their workouts during the time set for the experiment (this lets us know how well they’re sticking to the routine) and at the end present them with a survey (that way there’s quantifiable data), then compare results. The journals would serve as reviews, telling us which set is easiest to use/clean, most comfortable to wear, and so on. The survey would tell us which group felt the most improvement from their beads compared to the control group with no beads.
(Can you tell I think about this a lot?)

Yeah, I think they’re priced a little too high. I do like them but I just don’t expect them to get me off.

Is there a way to measure how effective kegel beads are at toning the PC muscles? How do we know if one set is better than another?
