Lust L2

First, I just need to begin by sincerely thanking Peep for recommending this wonderful little vibe. I probably never would have noticed it if she hadn’t mentioned how much she likes it. It’s true, I’m smitten… with the vibe that is. Although, I do have some serious feels for Peep since she introduced me to this demure but mighty mini-vibe. The Jopen Lust L2 is nearly perfect. I say “nearly” because I have a hard time calling anything “perfect” but really, I have to try pretty damn hard to find fault with this vibe. It’s become an instant favorite. Let me tell you why.

It has everything – all the things I look for in a clit vibe. It goes without saying that it’s made of body-safe silicone because I wouldn’t be reviewing it otherwise. It has the power of my beloved We-Vibe Touch but it’s smaller and I might like the shape of the L2 even better.  It’s dainty and has a low profile that makes it perfect for pairing up with a dildo or to use during sex.

It’s rechargeable and also has a travel lock, which is one thing I always thought the Touch should have. I feel like I want to carry the L2 around with me always. It’s a shame that Jopen didn’t include a travel pouch but I love this vibe so much that I forgive them. Besides, you’re getting all of this perfection for less than $50! You heard that right. I know, I can’t believe it either. With that kind of deal, I suppose I can steal a pouch from one of my inferior vibes. The L2 is truly a hidden gem and I want to make sure it doesn’t go unnoticed.

I always keep my We-Vibe Touch on hand when testing a new vibe, just in case it sucks and can’t get me off. But I had absolutely no need for it when I tried the L2 for the first time. To my complete amazement, the L2 gave me three powerful and deeply satisfying orgasms in under 10 minutes. I should acknowledge the fact that my clit seems to have gotten its shit together lately but a lot of credit goes to this vibe as well.  It gives me the pin-point stimulation that I adore and it’s heavenly when snuggled up against the right side of my clit (it’s a righty).  I’d like to believe that the days of frustratingly masturbating for over 30 minutes with no results is a thing of the past with my trusty L2 by my side.

Did I mention that it’s cute? I don’t often feel that way about a vibe but there’s just something about the L2 that makes me think, “awww”. I didn’t realize it until someone pointed out to me that it looks just like a mini version of the BMS Factory Swan Wand, which is a total coincidence.

L2 and Swan Wand

There is one button located on the underside, easily accessed by the thumb. There’s nothing to get confused about when you’re using it. You simply press the button briefly to turn it on and press and hold to incrementally increase the intensity. Press the button again briefly to turn it off. I love that it is incrementally adjustable, rather than just giving you 3 or so set speeds and I’m thrilled that there are no patterns. If you love patterns then I suppose you’re out of luck on this one but I hardly ever enjoy them and they usually just get in my way.

The only small quibble I have about the L2 is that you can’t adjust the intensity back down. If you want to set it to a lower speed than what you’re on, you have to turn it off and start over. I guess you’d need two buttons to make that work but I can actually imagine having another button on the top side of this vibe. Maybe a top button to increase and the bottom one to decrease intensity? Oh, and one more thing, it only comes in pink and purple. See, I told you that I struggle to find fault with this vibe.

The L2 is fully waterproof. Add that to the long list of features that make it great. It’s easy to clean with soap and water and water-based lube is recommended. This vibe’s size and quiet operation make it very discreet.  It’s USB rechargeable and you’ll need an A/C adapter if you don’t want to charge it with your computer. It takes 2.5 hours to charge and the manual states that it runs for 30 minutes on high speed. When it’s finished charging, the travel lock will be engaged. To unlock it, press the button three times.

2 Lust L2

So, let’s recap. It’s strong and rumbly, discrete, body-safe, waterproof, affordable, has a travel lock and a one year warranty plus, it’s cute. If all that doesn’t make you happy then I just give up. I really can’t recommend the Lust L2 enough. I mean it. I’m obsessed with this thing. With all that you get for the price, I think it’s one of the best sex toy values I’ve seen.

If you want one, how about showing some love to PeepShow Toys since they made it possible for me to tell you about this awesome little vibe? There’s free shipping if you spend $70+ so, why not add a bottle of lube and maybe a travel pouch? That way, you have everything you need for amazing orgasms when your package arrives.

** Sadly, the Envy Five has been discontinued. That’s too bad. I really liked it. Apparently, there are only 3 vibes left in the Envy line and they’re all rabbit vibes. Meh. **

This vibrator might not look like it but it’s a real beast. At the low end, the vibration practically growls and it makes me quiver with delight. At the high end, it’s so powerful that it feels like I’m gonna insta-squirt. But I don’t because I’ve never actually done that from G-spot stim alone. It really is almost too much for me at the highest intensity. The shape is simple and effectively targets my G-spot and I think this vibe is just as good on my clit as it is in my vagina.

I was really quite blown away by the Jopen Envy Five. I wasn’t expecting it to be the powerhouse that it is, especially after reading about how disappointing the One and Three were. But like the One and Three it is powered by the infamous PowerBullet technology and pretty much everything I’ve tried that has a PowerBullet motor has impressed me. So, I’m not sure if I’d be disappointed by the One or Three. Maybe this is just a difference in perception of strength or maybe Jopen put a more powerful motor in the Five. I’d have to try the others to know for sure and those shapes look boring as hell to me so, not really interested in doing that… not even for science.

Sometimes, if a vibe is too intense on my G-spot, it can sort of overpower whatever clit stim I happen to be applying. If the internal vibe is super strong then the clit vibe has to be even stronger. That’s probably why I like using the Five at the lower end of its intensity range. It rumbles my G-spot like nobody’s business and by adding in some clit stim… I’m guaranteed a squirting orgasm. As you increase the intensity it gets less rumbly but I certainly wouldn’t call it buzzy. But like I said, it’s almost too much for me which probably means it will be great for those who need all that power.

Envy Five

I think the shape of the Envy Five is going to make it a good choice for folks who have problems with curved G-spot toys getting caught on their pubic bone. I like to push down forcefully on the handle and really jam the head up into my G-spot. It really loves pressure. The only complaint I have about the shape – and it’s really the only complaint I have about the vibe – is the handle or, lack thereof. I find it a little tiring to hold onto as I have to really stretch to reach the buttons which are located on the base/bottom of the vibe. I just wish it had something more substantial to hold onto but it’s a small annoyance and really doesn’t change my love for this vibe.

Envy Five buttons

I really appreciate how the Five operates. You don’t easily get sucked into pattern-land-hell unless you want to because there are two buttons. One button (|) is for turning it on and off and controlling the incrementally adjustable steady vibration. You press the other button (F) for the patterns, of which there are seven. Sometimes, the simplest solutions really are the best. The vibe will start on the last pattern used before it was turned off. While on a pattern, you can adjust the intensity by pressing and holding the (|) button. But for me, I’m all about that steady vibration button and I’m really unlikely to accidentally press the one that’ll send me off into a homicidal rage. And lets face it, homicidal rages have no place in a masturbation sesh. So, kudos to Jopen for making a vibe that doesn’t piss me off and so effectively gets me off. There is a travel lock and it is engaged by pressing and holding both buttons for a few seconds. It is unlocked the same way.

The Five is USB rechargeable but does not come with an outlet adapter. So, if you don’t have one check this out. It takes 2.5 hours to reach a full charge and that is supposed to give you between 3 hours to 45 minutes of run time depending on the speeds you use.

Envy Five 2

Not only is this vibe strong and rumbly, it’s everything else you want it to be. Body-safe, phthalates fee silicone with a silky matte finish, fully waterproof, easy to clean. It’s pretty much all those things a vibe has to be for me to recommend it to you. Clean it with soap and water, a toy cleaner or sanitize in a 10% bleach solution.

As usual, I’m going to have to recommend water-based lube as the safest choice since some silicone-based lubes are incompatible with some silicone sex toys and it can damage them. But since the quality of both silicone sex toys and silicone-based lubes have improved over the years, it really is possible to use them together sometimes. If you want to experiment, just be sure to spot test a small area first. I like using hybrid lubes with my toys because there’s a small amount of silicone in them that makes the lube last longer. A couple of my faves are Sliquid Silk and Pleasure Works Please Cream. Hybrids are pretty safe with silicone toys but it’s probably smart to spot test those as well.

The Five measures 8.25” tip to end and theoretically, you can use almost all of that because the buttons are located on the bottom of the base. The head is 1.51” in diameter then the shaft tapers a bit and bulges back to 1.39” in diameter and then tapers slightly again.

Envy Five box

The packaging is fairly sturdy and suitable for storage but you don’t get a storage pouch, which is a bit insulting given the price of this vibe, and it is backed by a one year warranty. Sorry all you pink haters but that’s what you’re stuck with.

I think the Envy Five deservedly belongs on my list of favorite G-spot vibes. I’d really like to see Jopen make a vibe just like this but with a nice G-spot curve. That would probably let me apply pressure to my G-spot more easily. But I do love this vibe just the way it is because of its deep rumbly vibration at the low end and very powerful vibration at the high end. It’s because of that range of intensity that I think it could please a lot of people with different preferences. Recently, Jopen sent me three vibes to review1 and this is without a doubt the best one by far. The Jopen Envy Five is definitely one that I can recommend and still sleep soundly at night.

Jope Key Skye

I wanted to try the Jopen Key Skye because it kind of resembles the Key Comet and Comet II, which are not just the best toys in the Key line but among some of the best G-spotting toys, period. It is with a heavy heart that I have to tell you, I didn’t much care for the Key Skye. Maybe I shouldn’t try to compare it to the magnificent Comet but even on its own merit, I’m kind of bored with it. I don’t hate it like this toy but I’m just not at all excited by it.

Skye Comet compare

On a positive note, if the bulbous head of the Key Comet (1.63” diameter) is too big for you, then the Skye (1.47” diameter) might be a good choice. But if your G-spot needs deep, strong rumbly vibration, you aren’t going to get it from this vibe. The Skye’s vibration is pretty much completely opposite of that. As is everything I’ve tried from the Key line. They all have the same buzzy vibration and they only have one level of steady vibration and then some patterns. That can make for a bit of a snooze-fest.

I think it’s a well made toy and all that but it just kind of bores me. Vibration aside, I am able to get some G-spot stimulation by using it to apply pressure. The curve works well for that and I do like the shape. There is a flexible joint in the middle of the shaft that lets you adjust the a curve to a small degree. The handle curves upward which makes it very comfortable to hold onto; I always did kind of wish that the Comet’s handle was shaped like that. But the shape is really not enough to make up for the bland vibration. In other words, I don’t even like it that much with the vibration turned off.

Key Skye flex

If this review seems dull and uninteresting, then it’s a good indication of how I feel about this vibe. I don’t love it and I don’t hate it. It’s hard to write a spirited review about a toy that you feel indifferent about. I’m even bored while I write this review (I hope you haven’t fallen asleep reading it).

key skye tweet

I’d say it’s probably a little more like the Dominos Pizza of sex toys1. It’s not great but if you’re starving, you’ll scarf that shit down and pretend it’s not that bad.

I guess if your G-spot is really sensitive and you can’t handle strong and rumbly vibrators then this might be right up your alley. Otherwise, don’t waste your time with it. Jopen makes some really impressive G-spot vibes from their other lines that I can recommend, though you’ll pay more for them2.Key Skye button

There is a single button that you press and hold to turn the vibe on. Press it repeatedly to step through the functions. The Skye has one steady vibration level and six patterns. I do wish there was an adjustable steady vibration setting since, patterns rarely interest me. This vibe is completely rigid with a layer of silky matte silicone over plastic. So, you can apply some strong pressure against your G-spot if that’s what you like, and I do. Some folks have problems with severely curved G-spot toys like this due to how their pubic bone is positioned. I have never had this issue but this is probably one of those toys that will catch on your pubic bone if you’re built that way.

It’s waterproof and easy to clean with soap and water or a toy cleaner. A 10% bleach solution can be used to sanitize it. Jopen suggests water-based lube and that’s because some silicone-based lube can damage some silicone sex toys but I’ve been using Sliquid Silk and Pleasure Works Please Cream – which are hybrid lubes with a small amount of silicone – and have had no problem.

The Skye is USB rechargeable but it does not come with an outlet adapter so, if you need one, I got you covered. The charging cable connects to the vibe magnetically and I’ve not had any problem with it becoming disconnected. It takes 4 hours to fully charge and that’s supposed to give you 1.5 – 2 hours of run time.

The packaging is fairly nice and sturdy and can be used for storage A storage pouch is also included. You have three color choices (I appreciate the blue) and it’s backed by a one year warranty.

I’ve been reviewing sex toys for over a year now and I think I’ve gotten to the point where it’s not quite so easy to impress me anymore. I mean, a toy has really got to be something  special for me to give it a rave review. The Skye just isn’t that special kind of toy for me. Really sensitive types might appreciate its weak buzzy vibration but I don’t.

boring-cat

I definitely recommend the Key Comet (no vibration) or the Key Comet II (same exact vibration as this vibe) over the Skye simply because the shape is so much better for grabbing the G-spot. Then again, some folks have had trouble inserting the large round head of the Comet and the Skye is definitely easier in that regard. I really can’t tell you to run out and buy this vibe. In my opinion, if you’re going to get anything from the Key line, it should be the Comet II. At this point, I think I’ve pretty much lost interest in the Key line, unless and until they start doing something different with the vibration, like making it stronger and deeper with variable steady vibration.

Jopen Lust L17

Rabbit vibes can be tricky. So far, no company has been able to make one vibe that fits all vulvae. The few I had tried weren’t really working for me because the clitoral arm was always too low. Then I tried the Jopen Vanity Vr 5.5 and it was the first one to fit me properly and I think it’s a good solid dual stimulator. Well, now I’ve found another rabbit vibe that works (mostly) and it’s also made by Jopen.

I was looking at the Jopen Lust line because they have some pretty interesting shapes. The L17 looked like something that might fit me so, I asked if I could review it. It fits better than most rabbit vibes I’ve tried but not quite as good as the Vr 5.5. Still, I can get the L17 to work for me and I do have orgasms with it. Unlike most of my previous experiences, the L17’s clitoral arm actually hits me a little too high. I was still able to make the L17 work for me by slightly pulling up on my vulva a bit, bringing my clit in contact with the clitoral stimulator.

What I was not expecting was the ease with which I reached orgasm the first time I used the L17. OK, I was coming off a dry spell – no orgasms for over a week – and I don’t know if that had anything to do with it but I gotta say, I’m impressed with this vibrator overall.

The first thing I noticed about the L17 was how nice and rumbly it is. The vibration has a very pleasant tone, even when turned all the way up on high. Next, I discovered that the two motors aren’t independently controlled (despite Jopen’s description)1 and that was kind of disappointing. I’m not sure why they omitted that feature. It’s a pretty important feature and it’s expected in high end rabbit vibes. So, the L17’s two motors are only capable of doing the same thing at the same time. You can’t adjust one motor’s intensity to low and the other to high, for example. If you need that kind of flexibility then this vibe probably isn’t for you. In that case, I’d suggest you take a look at Jopen’s Vanity line – but be prepared to spend a lot more money.

I personally don’t believe rabbit vibes are really made for thrusting. If you like to use them that way, that’s perfectly fine but for me, having the clitoral arm keep constant contact with my clit is essential to reaching orgasm. So, my technique with dual stimulators is to wiggle or pump the handle up and down. This way, I get some movement but the clitoral arm never comes off my clit. When I use the L17 like this, it does consistently give me some satisfying blended orgasms.

The shaft of the L17 is very flexible and complements my wiggle technique nicely. But this also means that you can’t put a lot of pressure against your G-spot. I usually like strong pressure on my G-spot but I was still able to enjoy this vibe without it. The vibration is pleasantly deep and rumbly and each motor on its own is moderately powerful but the combination of both motors together makes it feel much stronger.

Lust L17

The L17 operates via two buttons. They are unmarked but you briefly press the one closest to the clitoral stimulator to turn it off and on. It will start on steady vibration and you press and hold the other button to incrementally increase the intensity. From there you can press and hold the on/off button to decrease the intensity. If you briefly press the other button, you’re transported to a hell known as pattern land, which can be really annoying if you didn’t mean to do it and you don’t like patterns. If that happens you can either step through all four patterns to get back to steady vibration or you can just turn it off and on again and start all over. You can change the intensity of the patterns by pressing and holding either button. This vibrator does have a travel lock and it is engaged by pressing both buttons for a few seconds. It is unlocked the same way.

I do like the silicone on this vibe. It has a matte finish and is powdery soft. The L17 is waterproof so it can be submerged, making for easy cleaning. Soap and water works well or you could use a toy cleaner. To sanitize it, you can submerge it in a 10% bleach solution and rinse well with water. Water-based lube is suggested with silicone sex toys because some silicone-based lube can be incompatible but I’ve been using Sliquid Silk hybrid lube with no issues.

It’s about 7.5 inches long overall. The length from the tip of the shaft to the clitoral stimulator is 3.75 inches. The head is 1.47 inches at the thickest point. The clitoral stimulator is a blunt round shape that is 1.25 inches across and it rises 2 inches above the shaft.

This vibe features USB charging but it does not come with an outlet adapter so if you need one, you can pick it up here. It takes 2.5 hours to charge and that’s supposed to supply 40 minutes of run time on high and 5 hours on low.

It comes in two colors, purple (yawn) and a cheerful shade of green that I know will make some of you very happy.

Lust L17 packaging

The packaging is fairly nice and sturdy, making it suitable for storage but a storage pouch is not included and the L17 is backed by a one year warranty.

The Lust L17 is a pretty nice rabbit vibe and it’s a lot more affordable than anything in Jopen’s Vanity line. You get almost all the same features except the independent motor controls. I really wish they would have included that and it’s the only complaint I have. It won’t fit everyone’s anatomy but the clitoral stimulator sits higher than other rabbit vibes I’ve tried so it might be great for those with wider spacing between their clit and vagina. I like the rumbly vibration and both motors have some decent power. This probably isn’t going to be a vibrator that I use all the time because generally, I prefer using two toys for dual stimulation but as far as rabbit vibes go, I think this one’s a winner.

Jopen Vanity Vr 5.5

They said it couldn’t be done. There wasn’t a company anywhere that could design a dual stimulating vibrator (rabbit vibe) that would fit my freakishly proportioned vulva1. I had come to accept my fate… that I would never know the joy of single handedly stimulating my G-spot and clit at the same time. And then, there it was; beckoning me to try once more… the Jopen Vanity Vr 5.5. I wavered and struggled with the decision to review it. Would it be just another failure? Was I agreeing to write a review that was doomed from the start?

Well folks, I am happy to report that Jopen has achieved what I thought was impossible. The Vanity Vr 5.5 does indeed reach my G-spot and clitoris at the same time. And not only that – it also manages to get me off. I can’t believe that I am now able to say this but, I’ve found a dual stimulating vibe that I can actually recommend. But who can I recommend it to? Our vulvae are all so uniquely different that I can’t promise anyone that the Vr 5.5 will work for them. But I can say, if other rabbit vibes have left your clit high and dry, the Vr 5.5 has a pretty good chance of reaching it.

When I was offered the Vanity Vr 5.5 for review, I really wasn’t sure I could accept it. I even explained my past experiences with dual stimulators, just so they’d know going into it that, this could be a difficult review. So before I agreed, I researched a few reviews and it was this one that convinced me to give it a try. When I saw how flexible the clitoral arm was, I felt pretty confident that the Vr 5.5 could succeed where others have failed.

I was thrilled the first time I inserted it and the clit arm settled perfectly into place. Then I turned it on and was amazed at the rumbly dual motors. With both motors running in unison, the entire vibrator hits a resonating frequency that makes the combined vibration feel so much stronger than either motor feels on its own. Individually, the motors aren’t exceptionally powerful but it’s when they’re both running that the magic happens.

In addition to its ingenious form, Jopen did something else with the Vr 5.5 that I had longed for in a dual stimulator. They made each motor independently controlled. Want strong vibration on your G-spot but mild vibration on your clit? You can do that with the Vr 5.5. Maybe you just want vibration on your clit and none at all on your G-spot. You can do that too. I love having this kind of control over a rabbit style vibrator. Having said that, for me the Vr 5.5 feels best with both motors cranked up on high.

At first, I wasn’t really sure how to best use this vibrator. There’s no right or wrong way to masturbate and what works for me may not work for you but thrusting with the Vr 5.5 (or any rabbit vibe) doesn’t really work out for me. Obviously, as you thrust, the clit arm comes off of your clit momentarily and that just doesn’t get the job done for me. I finally figured out that if I sort of leave the Vr 5.5 in place and pump the handle up and down, the clit arm remains on my clit. It actually slides up and down on my clit as I pump the handle which replicates how I normally use clit vibes. And as the clit arm slides up and down, the head of the shaft repeatedly pushes into my G-spot. When I get this motion going really fast, with the dual motors running full throttle… orgasms happen. And that makes me a happy girl.

For all the really smart things Jopen has done with the Vr 5.5 there is one thing I have to complain about and there really is just this one thing I don’t like. The handle is just too short. It needs to be longer so I’m not straining to reach it and I have more to grab onto when I pump it up and down. Because it’s so short, my hand gets kind of crampy when I’m trying to keep my grip on it. So if Jopen ever makes the Vr 5.5.1, I hope they give it a longer handle.

Vr5.5

The Vanity Vr 5.5 has two buttons, one for each motor. You press and hold to turn them on and as you continue to hold, the vibration ramps up in intensity. I really prefer this incrementally adjustable vibration to other vibes that have preset levels of intensity. You press the button again briefly to turn it off and that can get a little annoying sometimes because if you’re just trying to increase the intensity a little bit, you end up shutting the motor off. Then you have to press and hold to ramp back up again to where you wanted it to be but after awhile you do sort of get a feel for it and you don’t inadvertently turn it off as often.  The Vr 5.5 has no patterns so, if that’s your thing, you might want to look elsewhere. This vibrator comes locked from the factory and to unlock it, you press and hold both buttons for 4 seconds and you can re-lock it the same way.

I like that the Vr 5.5 has a seamless design2. By that I mean, it’s all silicone and even the buttons are beneath the silicone. There are no places where one material meets another to create a seam for gunk to hide. Combine this with the fact that it’s fully waterproof and it’s very easy to clean. Soap and water always works or, you could use a toy cleaner. If you need to sanitize it, you can bathe it in a 10% bleach solution. The silicone has a velvety matte finish that creates a small amount of drag, that’s easily fixed with a bit of lube. It’s always the safest bet to use water-based lube with silicone toys because some silicone-based lube can damage some silicone toys.  I do however, often use hybrid lubes like Sliquid Silk which have a small amount of silicone in them.  These are usually safe for silicone toys but it’s always safest to spot test any lube containing silicone.

Charging takes about 3 hours and I can’t find any documentation from Jopen on how much run time you’re supposed to get3. While charging a light comes on near the charging socket and it turns off when charging is complete.

VanityVr5.5

The Vr 5.5 is about 7 inches long, total. Without flexing the clit arm there are only about 2.5 inches from it to the end of the shaft. When fully deflected, there are 4.5 inches from the clit arm to the tip of the shaft and it rises about 2.5 inches above the shaft. The thickest part of the shaft is 4.63 inches in circumference. The handle is only about 2 inches long.

You can only get the Vr 5.5 in one color – purple. It’s the same color as all of the other Vanity vibrators. If you are outside the US, you can find this vibrator made by Swan. It’s called the Silhouette and it’s pink. Everything else should be the same. The packaging is a little chintzy for a luxury vibe at this price but you do get a storage pouch. Jopen covers the Vr 5.5 with a one year warranty.

You just don’t know how happy I am that I’ve found a rabbit style vibrator that works for me. I was beginning to feel like I was missing out on something and it kind of bugged me that I couldn’t recommend one. The Vr 5.5 is absolutely a vibrator that I can recommend, especially for those who’ve found the clit arm on other dual stimulators too low to reach their clit.

Not only does the Vr 5.5 fit me like a dream, it gets me off fairly easily. It’s a nice change of pace to be able to use one hand to stimulate my clit and G-spot simultaneously. I think the Vr 5.5 is deserving of its high price tag as it appears well made, it’s body-safe and it has moderately powerful dual motors. Cheap rabbit vibes with animal shaped clit stimulators aren’t even in the same league with this vibrator. So, if those kind of crappy vibrators have let you down in the past, the Jopen Vanity Vr 5.5 might pleasantly surprise you.

Comet II

The original (non-vibrating) Key Comet Wand is one of my absolute favorite dildos. I was 38 years old and found my G-spot for the first time in my life with the Key Comet and the blended orgasms I can get with it completely blow my mind. It really is one of those sex toys that I can’t recommend enough. So, why haven’t I reviewed it yet if it’s so great? Well, I’ve just gotten so incredibly busy writing sponsored reviews that I haven’t been able to find time to write about the toys that I’ve purchased myself. It’s kind of a shame really because I have some great sex toys that I haven’t had much of a chance to tell you about yet, like the equally amazing njoy Pure Wand, which just barely nudges past the Comet for top spot.

Then Jopen did something that really excited those of us who adore the Comet. They made it vibrate. I was beside myself with glee when I heard about it because I was already thinking that Jopen would hit a home run if they could make the Comet vibrate. Enter, the Key Comet II. I was dying to get one into my vagina. I pleaded and begged my sponsors but none of them even had them in stock yet and then, like a sex toy fairy god mother, ( a person from a retailer no longer in business) made my dreams come true and offered to send me one in exchange for a review. Uhm, yes please… and thank you very much.

I was so damn excited. I already knew that as a dildo, the Comet II would be awesome, provided Jopen didn’t make any stupid changes. I am happy to report that they did not. The main difference, beside the vibration is that instead of a glass body, the Comet II has a plastic body covered in silicone. For G-spot stimulation, it feels the same as glass to me but it’s much lighter, which might be an advantage for some. It’s fine with me either way, glass or plastic… it’s all good. The silicone used to cover the plastic appears and feels the same so, I’d say Jopen did a good job by not totally butchering the original Comet to make the Comet II.

So far, it’s as good as the original but what about the vibration? It’s really pretty great that I now get to add vibration to some already superb G-spot stimulation but I’m not as completely blown away as I hoped I would be. It could be that I had such high expectations and inflated this thing in my mind to a point where there was no way it could measure up. But it is what it is… I still love it but I wish they had done something different with the vibration because they used the same motor that they’ve used in other Key vibrators. Well, it might not be the exact same motor but it feels the same and has the same functions. I guess I was expecting something totally new and different. I’m not sure why that is but it honestly let me down a little that the Comet II vibrates a lot like the Ceres G. That doesn’t make it a bad toy and don’t get me wrong, I still love it but I think I could love it more had they changed things up a bit.comet II patterns

So, the way the Comet II works is the same as their other vibrators. All the modes feel like they’re at the same intensity, there’s just a variation in the pattern. You get one set steady vibration that they call “Intense” but you can’t adjust the intensity of it.  Next you have “High” and that feels sort of like “Intense” but with a slight pulsation that ripples over the top of the steady vibration, if that makes any sense. The first two functions work best for me. The rest are fairly typical patterns (Wave, Pulse, Throb, Flutter and Tease) and I could take ’em or leave ’em.

Despite the fact that I’m a little bored with the same ol’ functions that they put in their other toys, I still think the vibration enhances the G-spot stimulation. I actually get a stronger sensation of needing to urinate with the vibration turned on. To those who are not all that experienced with G-spotting, that might sound like a bad thing but trust me, it’s not. As usual, I can’t have orgasms from internal stimulation alone but when I use the Comet II, vibration on, with the We-Vibe Tango on my clit, amazing things do happen but then, the original Comet could do some amazing things too. I guess my orgasm is a bit more intense with the addition of vibration and I might squirt a little more. So, my verdict is that the Comet II is a pretty awesome sex toy. It’s at least as wonderful as the original Comet with a little extra added goodness. Can’t really beat that.

Just like the Comet, the Comet II is covered in a silky matte silicone that sets it apart from my other favorite G-spotting dildo, the Pure Wand. The Pure Wand, being flawlessly smooth steel, glides across my G-spot whereas, the silicone of the Comet/II sort of pulls at it. I love both sensations and which one I choose just depends on the mood I’m in. The plastic body is just as rigid as the Comet’s glass body so, I still get the same great pressure against my G-spot.

The Comet II has a fairly girthy bulbous head and I love it because it covers a broad area, leaving nowhere for my G-spot to hide. I have no problem inserting it but I’ve heard that some do. The trick for me is not trying to shove it straight in. I lay the Comet/II against my vulva with the head pressing at the opening of my vagina and then I slowly start to rock it into me. I pull it out the same way, not straight out but by pulling the handle up and toward my vulva.

For me, this is not a straight thrusting kind of dildo. I think the Comet/II works best with a rocking motion and I usually like pushing the handle way down toward my butt so, it forces the head into my G-spot with as much force as possible. Then, I rock it a little or even just hold it right there, applying steady pressure, with the Salsa on my clit. And let me tell you, when that orgasm comes, it erupts… figuratively and literally. The orgasms I get from the Comet II are nothing short of spectacular, with or without the vibration turned on.

comet II detail

The Comet II is USB rechargeable through a magnetic connection. I know I’ve bitched and moaned plenty about USB charging but I don’t care for it. I know it has some advantages, like for travel but I think it benefits the manufacturer more than it does the consumer. It’s probably a lot cheaper to manufacture a cable rather than a transformer for a wall outlet. They can market it as a feature and convince people of how great it is to charge your sex toy through your computer. Nope, not buying it. But I don’t think this trend is going away so, here’s the part where I tell you that if you don’t want to charge the Comet II with your computer, then you’ll have to buy a USB to A/C adapter separately. It takes 4 hours to fully charge and that should get you about 2-3 hours of run time. It should not be left charging for more than 24 hours.

Plastic and silicone are both nonporous, body safe, phthalates free materials so, the Comet II is completely safe and won’t give you infections if properly cleaned. You can do that by washing it in antibacterial soap and water or you could use a toy cleaner. If you need to sanitize it, which you definitely should if you’re sharing it, you can wash it in a 10% bleach solution. As I always say, it’s best to use water-based lube with a silicone toy because some silicone-based lube can damage some silicone toys.

comet II colors

The Comet II is about 9.5 inches along the outer curve and you have 5” from the head to the charging contacts. The head is 1.5 inches in diameter and the shaft tapers down to just over an inch. Comet II comes in the same colors as Comet (Blue, Lavender and Pink) but the handles are tinted. What was just an emblem on the Comet is now the button on the Comet II and you press and hold to turn it on and off.  This vibrator is fully waterproof so, feel free to take it into the bath.  You do get a black satiny storage pouch and the packaging is suitable for storage as well. Jopen covers the Key Comet II with a one year warranty.

Jopen took one of my favorite G-spotting dildos to the next level by adding vibration. I think it’s pretty damn cool that they did that, even if I was slightly disappointed that they didn’t do something new and exciting with the functions. If you don’t already have the Comet then I highly recommend getting the Comet II because it is essentially the same great toy (plus a little extra) and if you don’t like the vibration it’s still an awesome dildo.

If you do have the Comet, whether or not you buy the Comet II really just comes down to how bad you want to try the vibration. I personally think the vibration enhances the G-spot stimulation but if it didn’t impress you then you’d be stuck with essentially two of the same toy.  In that case, I guess you could always give the spare to a friend. Seriously though, the Comet and the Comet II are, in my opinion, two of the best G-spotting toys out there. You really can’t go wrong with either one.

The Key Ceres G Massager surprised me, in a good way. It’s not something that really caught my attention before but I was offered the opportunity to review it and since Key makes one of my favorite sex toys (the Key Comet Wand), I figured it was worth a try. I wasn’t expecting much but it kind of impressed me once I used it.

Key makes the Ceres and Ceres G vibrators. The Ceres is shaped more like a traditional vibrator but they gave the Ceres G an enlarged bulbous head. And that head does a really good job of stimulating my G-spot. It vaguely reminds me of the Key Comet Wand, though it’s not nearly as good at targeting my G-spot as the Comet. I think it’s the silicone that feels similar. It has kind of a grabby sensation against my G-spot. This might not sound appealing but I really enjoy the feeling.

The head is large enough that it easily hits my G-spot. I don’t have to go searching for it with this vibrator. I just insert it and it’s there, right where it needs to be. It feels pretty good just using it as a dildo but then the vibration kicks things up a notch. It’s hard not to compare every other G-spot vibrator to the amazing LELO Mona 2 but it really is the best and once you’ve had the best, it’s difficult for anything else to wow you. So, I can’t use words like “amazing” or “intense” to describe the Ceres G but it does feel good and if you don’t need really strong vibration then you’ll probably be satisfied with it. When paired with a clit vibe, it does give me blended orgasms.

The Ceres G has 7 vibration modes.  It starts on a steady vibration (High), then the next mode (High 2) feels like something in between steady vibration and a pattern. It’s kind of a ripple and it’s probably my favorite. The remaining 5 modes are varying patterns of escalation and pulsation. The Ceres G has the same modes as other Key vibrators I’ve tried, including the Charms vibrators and the Pyxis, plus 2 more modes: Wave and Flutter.  There is a single push button and you hold it for 3 seconds to turn it off.

The silicone has a matte finish and it feels silky against the skin. It’s the same silicone that is used on my beloved Comet and it produces that pleasantly grabby sensation against the G-spot. The plastic and silicone construction of this vibrator means that it’s nonporous, body safe and pththalates free. Antibacterial soap and water or a toy cleaner can be used to clean it.  There is a seam where the silicone meets the plastic and it might need to be scrubbed with an old toothbrush.  If you need to sanitize it, bathe it in a 10% bleach solution. Key specifies the use of water-based lube and that’s probably a good idea since some silicone lubes can damage some silicone toys.

keyceresg2

You’ll need 2 AAA batteries for the Ceres G. There is a clear plastic sleeve in the battery compartment. Don’t throw it away, it’s meant to stay in there. It prevents the batteries from rattling. The batteries are kind of a tight fit and I had to give it a good shake to get them out. I really wish Key would have made this vibrator rechargeable and for the price point, I think they could have done it. Key states that a set of batteries should get you 1.5-2 hours of run time. Remove the batteries if you won’t be using it for an extended period of time. This vibrator is pretty quiet and the sound is comparable to most other vibrators I have. It’s not something that will be heard outside a room with the door closed. The Ceres is waterproof so feel free to take it with you into the bath or shower. It measures 8″ from end to end and 5.75″ is insertable. The maximum girth is 1.59″. It comes in three colors: pink, blue and lavender. A black satiny storage pouch is included and the Ceres G has a one year warranty.

The Ceres G doesn’t rock my world but it is a nice vibrator and I do enjoy using it. It does a good job of stimulating my G-spot. If you don’t need really strong vibration then I think this vibrator could work for you. It’s not on the same level as the LELO Mona 2 but I doubt that many are. So, if you have that vibrator, I honestly can’t say you need this one but then, the Ceres G might be perfect for you if you’re new to sex toys and looking for a well made, mid-priced vibrator.

Good Vibrations provided the Key Ceres G in exchange for my opinion.

key by jopen pyxis vibratorI won’t beat around the bush on this one. The Key Pyxis is a weak buzzy little thing. That’s really all there is to it. It’s got to be the buzziest vibrator I’ve tried so far. It’s probably a good thing that it is so weak because the vibration feels kind of prickly on my clit. It would likely be downright painful if it had any power behind it. But I get it… it’s not like they could cram some big powerful motor into this tiny thing. For those who are too sensitive for strong vibrators and respond to buzzy vibration, the Pyxis would probably serve you quite well. It’s just not something that I can get excited about.

So, it turns out that my clit isn’t nearly as discriminating as I thought it was because I can get off with vibrators that I didn’t think had any chance of making me come.  Yeah, I can have an orgasm with the Pyxis but does that alone make it a great vibrator? Not really. A great vibrator makes you relish the moments leading up to the orgasm. It makes you want to slow down and take it all in. Really great vibrators go beyond just producing orgasms. They produce toe curling, powerful orgasms. The Pyxis doesn’t even come close. When I use it, I just want to hurry up and finish. I can come but it’s not all that satisfying.

It is made of body safe, hypoallergenic, nonporous silicone and comes in 3 colors: pink, purple and blue. The silicone is key by jopen pyxis vibratorsilky soft and has a matte finish. The Pyxis is USB rechargeable and I found the magnetic connection between it and the cord, a bit fiddly. While charging, the Pyxis flashes and when it’s fully charged, it glows steadily. Key claims that fully charging for 2 hours yields 1.5-2 hours of play time. It has a single push button that you must hold for a a couple of seconds to turn it on and to turn it off. I think that this is actually a good thing because you’re much less likely to accidentally turn it on and because of its small, discrete portable size it’s something you could easily tuck away in your purse. The broad flat surface of the Pyxis is about 1 ½ inches top to bottom, 1 ¾ inches side to side and has two rows of small raised ribs for texture. The Pyxis is meant to be worn on the finger but putting the broad flat surface against my clit didn’t do much for me. I prefer to hold it perpendicular to my clit and stroke it with the bottom edge of the vibrator.  It comes with a storage pouch and Key covers the Pyxis with a one year warranty.

It has five settings consisting of one level of steady vibration (High) and four patterns (High 2, Tkeycharmslace_html_71203aeeease, Pulse, Throb). The patterns are the same as those of the Charms Petite vibrators that I’ve previously reviewed but with the Pyxis they feel much buzzier. This is the kind of vibrator that quickly makes my fingers feel numb. The Pyxis is fully waterproof so you can take it into the tub or shower and it also makes cleaning it easy. You can sanitize it with a 10% bleach solution or for routine cleaning antibacterial soap and water will do.  You could also use a toy cleaner.  Key specifies the use of water based lube and that’s probably a good idea. This little vibrator doesn’t really have a good place to spot test a hybrid or silicone lube. This is a fairly quiet vibrator but being so small and lacking in power, you’d kind of expect it to be.

I think for what it is, the price is a little high (maybe because I just didn’t care for it) but I give it points for being rechargeable. And the USB rechargeable feature is kind of cool, I guess but it isn’t all that useful to me. It is a good size to tuck away in your bag while traveling and since you have to hold the button for a couple seconds to turn it on, it’s less likely to accidentally activate but the controls don’t lock so there is the possibility that it could. In all, the Key Pyxis doesn’t impress me much but it might work well for very sensitive types who prefer buzzy vibration over the deep rumbly kind.

Whew… I’m still feeling a little bit woozy. Yes woozy. Like, lightheaded and drained of energy. My Tantus Cush O2 and Key Comet G Spot Wand arrived today from SheVibe. I placed my order on Sunday and the dildos got here today. So, I’m very satisfied with their quick order processing and shipping.

Of course I couldn’t wait to tear open the packaging and try them out, though it may have been a little ambitious to try them both out in one session. But that’s what I did and it might just account for this wiped out feeling I have now. I’ll write proper reviews on both of them later on but for now, I just wanted to sort out my overall first impressions.

I was immediately impressed with the quality of both dildos as I held and inspected them… getting to know them. The Comet was a bit smaller than I’d imagined but I would find out that this is not an issue. The Cush was a little larger than I expected but this wouldn’t be an issue either. I took them to the sink and gave them a proper wash, then set up the bed.

I laid a towel beneath me and another to my side where the dildos, Salsa and Grizzly Slide H2O would sit. I don’t normally prepare with a towel for underneath me but I’ve heard some pretty amazing things about the Comet so I didn’t want to take any chances on squirting all over my clean sheets.

I decided to start with the Comet. Having slathered it well with lube, I tried to insert it and found some difficulty. It wasn’t so much about the size of it, as it’s not girthy. It had more to do with the curved shape. I found I had to sort of rotate it in from the top, feeding it’s curve into me. I couldn’t just shove this one straight in.

Once inside I started poking around. The only other dildo I’ve played with is the njoy Fun Wand and I never had much luck with it. So, I had to find my technique with this g spot dildo. I tried thrusting it straight in and out. Not in long strokes but just a small amount of in and out motion. That felt OK but wasn’t really working for me. Then I started to sort of rock it while thrusting in one fluid rock/thrust motion. This seemed to work better. I felt like I was getting somewhere. Intermittently I would feel the knob of the Comet hit a spot within me that felt… different. I tried to hone in on the spot and eventually I got the hang of targeting it.

I stayed with that rock/thrust motion for awhile, applying varying amounts of pressure. I could feel the vague sensation of needing to urinate. It wasn’t unpleasant so I kept on for a bit. Not really getting any additional stimulation beyond that and not feeling anything start to build, I decided to add the Salsa to the mix and began sliding it up and down my clit while giving the Comet the rock/thrust motion. That was starting to feel pretty good and the tension building within was different than if I had been using the Salsa alone.

But coordinating the two movements simultaneously seemed to be distracting me from the vibrations on my clit. So, I stopped moving the Comet and just firmly pushed down on its handle, putting strong pressure on that spot that I’d found. Holding it there, I resumed the stimulation to my clit with the Salsa and that’s when things started happening.

I felt the inner tension growing in a way that I knew meant impending orgasm but it felt different with that firm pressure on the front wall of my vagina. I don’t entirely know if I can describe the sensation in a way that will do it justice. I felt as though something was going to erupt. I fought it for just a short while and the pressure grew, then fell back, and increased again but stronger than before. This happened a few times until it had grown so strong that I couldn’t hold it back anymore and I let it burst forth and all that energy came spilling out. It was then that I felt the moisture on my hand. I paused a moment and caught my breath then withdrew the Comet. It had a lot of moisture around the handle that didn’t feel like lube. I suspect that I may have squirted just a small amount but it wasn’t enough to wet the towel underneath me.

I lay there all tingly and buzzing and I felt as though it was a very successful first run with a toy. Especially when you consider that up until now, I haven’t had an orgasm with g spot involvement. The dual stimulation of the Comet and the Salsa definitely delivered an orgasm that felt quite different from the pure clitoral orgasms I’m used to. And I come away with the feeling that with practice, I can only get better at this.

Well, you’d think all that would have been enough for one day, never mind one session. But I looked over at the Cush laying there on the bed next to me and after a short breather, I couldn’t resist slathering it up with lube and shoving it inside myself. It may have been a good thing that I started with the Comet. This might have warmed me up for the girth of the Cush. It slid into me with no hesitation but the girth certainly got my attention. It will be interesting to see if it enters so easily when I haven’t warmed up first.

I had underestimated the size of the Cush but I felt nicely filled, not uncomfortably stretched. I thrust it in and out for awhile, varying the depth. The first ridge was definitely rubbing something on the front wall of my vagina. The second ridge would just enter me when I had it thrust deeply. It wasn’t as intensely stimulating to my g spot as the Comet but it was sort of grazing it with each thrust.

Just as with the Comet, I didn’t feel like I would climax from thrusting the Cush alone so, I started using the Salsa on my clit again. The simultaneous stimulation was quite enjoyable but like before, I felt a little distracted by the thrusting. So, I shoved the Cush deeply inside me and left it there while I teased my clit to orgasm with the Salsa. I came so hard that the contractions shot the Cush right out, which made me giggle. It did feel pretty awesome to come like that with so much girth inside me.

So I can happily say that I had a wonderful first encounter with the Comet and the Cush. And since getting the most out of a sex toy usually takes a little practice, I can just imagine how much fun I’ll be having with these dildos. They have both made overwhelmingly great first impressions.

Update:
So, I’ve spent some time with the Comet and OMG this thing is amazing.  I found my technique with it and it blew my fucking mind.  I insert it somewhat shallowly and then just use that ergonomic perfectly bent handle like a lever; pumping it up and down.  Faster, slower, wide range of motion or short little pumps, this dildo showed me where my G spot is and I was rewarded handsomely for finding it.  I’ve never had orgasms (yes more than one per session) like this.  Absolutely an astounding buy!  I didn’t know a sex toy without a motor could be so damn good.  Worth every penny!

I’ve now had the opportunity to play with three more of the Key Charms Petite vibrators.  I have already reviewed the Lace and much of the same information in that review will apply here since all of them use the same vibrator with the same functions. The difference between them is the texture of the silicone sleeve.

These are nicely priced, fun little vibrators. I’ve found that I enjoy having the four different textures to choose from, depending on my mood. I do have a favorite though and that’s the Lace. The Lace has the most pronounced texture out of the four with Velvet being the smoothest. In terms of texture from most to least I would list them as: Lace, Silk, Plush, Velvet. So, which one to choose really just depends on what your clit responds to.

Lace has a distinct, nubby texture. Silk has much less texture than Lace in the form of a slightly raised ridge that swirls around the silicone sleeve. Plush has a much smoother surface than Lace and Silk. It feels like little raised pillows of silicone against my clit. Velvet is the smoothest of the four and really does have a soft velvety feel. If you don’t enjoy texture at all, Velvet is the one you’d want.

The Charms Petite vibrators are waterproof and easy to clean. I use antibacterial soap but the silicone sleeve can be removed and boiled for a couple of minutes to sterilize. A 10% bleach solution can also be used. Just be sure to remove the sleeve and let it and the vibe dry out since during cleaning, moisture gets under the sleeve and can get trapped there, potentially leading to mold growth. These vibrators use one AA battery and I’m getting some good run time out of it. Key states that one battery should supply 1.5-2 hours of play time. The manual specifies water based lube so to be safe, it’s best to stick with it. However you can read my STMSDS for more information about lube compatibility. These vibrators are 3 ¾” long, about 1” in diameter with the sleeve and 7/8” in diameter without the sleeve. The vibrator itself is made of ABS plastic with a PU cote, which has a soft silky feel.

The single push button operation is simple but very sensitive. I accidentally turn it on every time I pick it up. If you’re traveling with it or are otherwise worried about it turning on then leave the batteries out until it’s time to use it. The button will scroll through the five modes with each push and will shut off the vibe when held for three seconds. Of the four I own, they all seem relatively quiet. I wouldn’t call them whisper quiet but then, I don’t really like using that phrase anyway. I’d say if you were in a room with the door closed, someone on the other side probably couldn’t hear it. I would consider these to be external vibrators and not suitable for anal play.  They come with a black satiny storage pouch and Key provides a one year warranty.

I would classify the vibrations as more buzzy than rumbly. The vibrations are moderately strong in intensity. I have no problem at all reaching orgasm with these vibrators. The five modes of operation are all enjoyable and I don’t really have a favorite. I’ve gotten off on all of them. Of the five modes there is one steady vibration (High) and four patterns (High2, Tease, Pulse and Throb). High 2 is about the same intensity of High but modulated with a slight ripple. Tease feels more like a saw tooth pattern to me as it ramps up in intensity then falls quickly to ramp back up once again. Pulse is just what you’d expect, evenly spaced bursts of vibration. If you’re familiar with the We-Vibe Salsa’s Cha-Cha pattern, the Charms’ Throb kind of reminds me of that only faster paced. It’s two pulses followed by three shorter ones. It was good for teasing my clit to a point where I could finish with the steady vibration.

I think these vibrators are a good buy but I still wish Key would have sold these as a package with one vibrator plus the various sleeves. They don’t have all the bells and whistles but they have more features than a basic bullet. I would have preferred it if they were rechargeable but the price point reflects the lack of this feature. Overall, I enjoy the Charms Petite vibrators and I can recommend them to anyone who responds to vibrations that are a bit more on the buzzy side. The four, from the Lace to the Velvet, offer a wide range of texture and feel so there’s likely to be one to satisfy the needs of every clit.

SheVibe carries all five of the Charms Petite vibrators.  They have great prices and a huge selection. Next time you’re looking for a new toy, be sure to pay them a visit.
