After a couple of months on hiatus, I’m back for a review of the Lovehoney Desire Luxury Prostate Massager. In the past, I’ve reviewed several different brands of prostate massagers with each one having a different design or vibrator that piqued my curiosity. As I was looking through items to review, the Lovehoney Desire Prostate Massager screamed out at me that it wanted to be up my ass so, how could I resist?

As with all toys that are going to be inserted into the body, silicone is the only way to go. This prostate massager is constructed of silicone that is very smooth and seamless.

The dimensions are base diameter 4.75”, circumference 4”, insertible length 3.75”, overall length 4.6”. This is a very comfortable toy as far as size goes so, beginners are welcome.

The vibrator is internal to the massager which is very cool because all positions are possible without the controls getting in the way, unlike some others that have a bullet vibe sticking out ¼ inch or more. Whether you lie flat, on your side or, prefer sitting upright the Lovehoney Desire Prostate Massager accommodates it all. It has 8 modes of vibration and 12 speed settings but what truly separates this from the competition is the remote control.

It’s USB rechargeable and fully charges in 120 minutes. Lovehoney says the charge lasts for 60 minutes but I used it for 5 sessions and it was still rocking HARD. I finally did throw it on the charger just in case.

Armed with plenty of water-based lube, the first insertion was very easy and comfortable. The only thing that took some work was getting the right angle but that’s to be expected with any toy. This prostate massager fits snugly and the base design holds it firmly between the cheeks and against the perineum. This massager hit my prostate immediately. I hadn’t even gotten comfortable or started squeezing and pre-cum was already flowing. It felt like it was custom-made for my body.

The part that I was looking forward to most was the remote control. It was a joy to be able to lie back and switch to different patterns and intensities without getting lube all over the place. The remote is very user-friendly and the buttons are spaced out and big enough that navigation is a breeze.

I was blown away by not only the vibrations but their placement. This prostate massager has a vibrator in the insertible portion as well as the base. This is the game changer. Having my prostate, asshole, perineum and my balls stimulated from one toy was amazing! That’s right, I said it. Having those places stimulated feels amazing!

The low setting gives a smooth light rumble but on high, it is very intense and made me go numb after a few minutes. The different patterns have something for everybody. You can have both vibes on steady to alternating between the tip and base. The patterns are very difficult to describe but take my word for it, you will want to experiment with them all.

I found that the middle vibration settings are the best for me. I usually go for steady vibrations but the Desire Prostate Massager made me rethink this stand. My favorite is the mode that alternates from the tip to the base. The timing of squeezing and relaxing with this rhythm brought me the most pleasure.

When it comes to the noise level, I will say this massager is loud. If you’re trying to be discreet, crank the TV or radio.

As far as clean-up goes, you’ll spend more time cleaning the cum and lube off of yourself than the massager. Just use some antibacterial soap and water and you’re good. It is fully waterproof so, don’t be afraid to hold it under the facet. The remote on the other hand, is splash-proof only so, I recommend some antibacterial wipes.

A nice hard-sided case is included. It can be locked but lock not included.

This is hands down the BEST prostate toy that I’ve ever used. As the saying goes, “You get what you pay for.” and the Lovehoney Desire Luxury USB Rechargeable Remote Control Prostate Massager¹ is exactly that.

It’s pricey compared to others but the quality of the toy makes it worth every cent. Lovehoney gets it right with its new luxury line, Desire. Well, I can really only say that they’ve done the Desire Clitoral Vibe right since that’s the only one I’ve tested so far. But as far as that goes, it’s a nice little clit vibe. I like it. It has all the features I want in a clit vibe. There really isn’t much I would change about it.

So, what’s the one thing I would change? It could stand to be a little more powerful. I doubt the Desire Clit Vibe will satisfy a power queen but it has enough strength to get me off… pretty easily, actually. The first time I used it, I had three orgasms in a matter of minutes. I think my clit is getting more sensitive these days because I don’t seem to need the intensity I used to. Maybe the anorgasmia is improving a little.

Features, it has all of them – silky silicone, USB rechargeable, travel lock, user-friendly buttons, patterns (if that’s your sort of thing) and a really nice hard-sided storage case. What else do you want? I can’t think of anything.

I like that it has three buttons. One to power on and increase intensity, one to decrease intensity and power off and the middle one for the patterns. The third button for patterns is key. I really don’t care for patterns much at all and I hate it when vibes are set up to where I can easily activate them when I don’t want to. With the third button, it’s much less likely that I’ll accidentally end up on a pattern and lose my mojo.

The vibrations feel kind of rumbly at the low-end of intensity and get a little buzzier as intensity increases but it’s not the kind of buzz that numbs my clit. The intensity is incrementally adjustable, which means you can press and hold to adjust it. It’s not just 3 set levels. Plus, you can adjust the intensity of the patterns. That’s something you don’t find on many vibes.

The Desire Clit Vibe has a nice ergonomic shape. It’s easy to hold and comes to a rounded tip. It’s not exactly pin-point but it focuses the vibration enough to get me off. The vibrations don’t seem to dampen under pressure either so, if that’s your thing, I think this vibe will work for you.

The hard-sided case is quite nice. I like it more than the standard satin pouch that you normally get. I might actually use it to transport other vibes sometimes. It has plenty of room for the Desire Clit Vibe, the charging cable and maybe a very small bottle of lube. One smart feature they added is a hole where the charging cord can be routed through, allowing the vibe to charge within the case. There is also a double zipper that allows you to lock the case. Seems they’ve thought through all the details.

The Desire Clit Vibe is easy to care for. It’s waterproof and can be cleaned with soap and water or a toy cleaner. Water-based lube is recommended for use with this vibe.

I simply can’t find anything to bitch about with this vibe. Will it replace some of my favorites like my Lust L2 or We-Vibe Touch? Probably not but I think this vibe has all the features to satisfy all but the most power-hungry. Job well done, Lovehoney.

Cheap sex toy alert. And by “cheap” I mean inexpensive… not shitty. Because, for less than $30, this is not a bad dildo. Not bad at all. In fact, I kind of like it. And some people think I’m a sex toy snob – not so. Well OK, maybe I am, just a little.

The Lovehoney Satisfy Me Curve Silicone Dildo is a very nice silicone dildo, with a ridiculously long name, at a very affordable price. I wasn’t sure if I’d like it but I was pleasantly surprised. Pairing this dildo up with a clit vibe, I have some really satisfying blended orgasms. This dildo gives me moderate G-spot stimulation while thrusting with it, which is different from how I use most G-spot toys. Usually, I like to rock them up and down or just apply constant pressure. Rarely do I thrust with them. But the Satisfy Me Curve just seems like it was made for thrusting.

You can use either end of this dildo but I prefer the end that comes to a slight point, rather than the end with the double bulge. The girth is pretty average¹. Of course, it’s probably not going to satisfy girth fanatics and I would prefer a bit more myself. It does have some slight flexibility and if I had my way, it would be firmer, just so I could apply more pressure against my G-spot but for those looking for milder G-spot stimulation, this dildo is ideal. I would like it to be a bit longer, to make it easier to reach and thrust with but really, I’m nit-picking here.

The silicone has a bit of drag but that’s easily fixed with some lube and water-based lube is recommended. It’s easy to clean with just soap and water or a toy cleaner. It can be sanitized in a 10% bleach solution; making sure to rinse well.

It doesn’t come with a storage pouch but at this price point, I can’t really expect one. If you want something more dignified than a ziplock bag, Lovehoney has some inexpensive toy pouches.  This dildo only comes in one color but that’s fine by me.

Bottom line? If you don’t want to spend a lot but you definitely want something that’s body-safe (and trust me, you do) and you’re not looking for really intense G-spot stimulation, I think the Lovehoney Satisfy Me Curve Silicone Dildo will make you happy. It made me happy and some folks think that I’m really hard to please. I have no idea why.

I’ve been curious about kegel exercisers for awhile now. Admittedly, I don’t know a lot about them. From what I gather, they can help tone your PC (pubococcygeus) muscles in a few different ways. They can serve a a reminder to actually do your kegels and provide some resistance to the muscles when you clench around the them. Many kegel balls have smaller inner balls that bounce around inside creating small vibrations that some manufacturers say, will induce small muscle contractions that help tone the PC muscles over time. And some are weighted to provide a challenge to the muscles when you must concentrate on clenching to keep them in place.

Kegel exercisers are not necessarily designed to bring pleasure or induce orgasms though some people do find wearing them quite pleasurable. So, why is it important to have toned PC muscles anyway? Toned pelvic floor muscles can help prevent urinary incontinence but also… can lead to more powerful orgasms and who doesn’t want that?

I’ve had my eye on a few different kegel exercisers and expected that my first set would probably be the LELO Luna Beads since I’ve read so many favorable reviews for them. Then I came across this review for the Tracey Cox Toner Set and it convinced me to give them a try. Based on what I read there plus the reviews on Lovehoney, I really expected to be able to feel the vibrations from these as I move around but surprisingly, I feel absolutely nothing. I can jump up and down and shake my ass but there’s just no sensation there. I’ve tried wearing them in the car, driving over bumpy roads and still nothing. That doesn’t mean that this isn’t a good set of toner balls. It just means we’re all different and I don’t happen to feel it.

The good news is, they’re very comfortable. In fact, I can totally forget they’re even in my vagina at times, especially since I don’t feel any vibration, but they do help remind me to do my kegels when I notice them. It doesn’t feel more difficult to clench around these toner balls than it does with nothing in my vagina but in theory, they’re supposed to be providing some resistance to make it a bit more challenging. I really haven’t had them long enough or used them enough to determine if they’ve toned my PC muscles at all. Like any kind of exercise, it takes time to see results.

I got the set that includes the single toner ball and the double. I’m not sure if the double is supposed to be more challenging than the single or what. I don’t notice much of a difference really but prefer wearing the double toner balls. You can also buy the double toner balls on their own or, if you prefer, the single toner ball.

I think these toner balls are well made and a great value for the price. They’re made of body safe, phthalates free silicone and plastic. The only thing I’d change is the retrieval cord. It’s made of stretchy silicone and I don’t really think that’s a great idea. Though it hasn’t happened to me yet, I can imagine it wouldn’t be difficult for the cord to slip from your fingers as you’re pulling on it and snap back like a rubber band against your vulva. And the thought of that is well… unpleasant.

You can easily clean the Tracey Cox Toner Balls with soap and water or a toy cleaner. To sanitize them, you can use a 10% bleach solution and rinse well with water. Water-based lube is recommended for these toner balls since some silicone-based lube can damage some silicone sex toys. The packaging is minimal but both the single and double set come with storage pouches. One thing I don’t really understand is the wasteful plastic tray that the double balls were packaged in. It doesn’t really seem like it has any kind of functional use. I guess it’s just there to keep the toner balls stationary in the box but the single ball didn’t have one and it seems unnecessary. They only come in pink and the balls are about 1.5” in diameter.

I don’t think you can really go wrong with these toner balls, especially for the price. Just because I don’t feel the vibrations doesn’t mean you won’t. In fact, many claim that they do. Based on comfort, I give them a very high rating and I think most will find them comfortable to wear. If you’re curious about kegel exercisers then I think this is a very good set to start with.

Side note: Don’t let the fact that this product has a sexpert’s name on it persuade you to get it. This happens to be a decent quality product at an attractive price but that can’t be said for all sexpert branded sex toys. In fact, I wasn’t impressed with the last Tracey Cox branded product I tried¹. I also wasn’t impressed with the book that I read where she refers to the vulva as the vagina and says sperm when she really means semen. I’m not saying that she doesn’t know the difference. I asked her about it and she said that she likes to use words that people are familiar with but I feel as an educator, she should be teaching people the correct terms (not that I’m some kind of expert or anything. I’m just sayin’).

The Tracey Cox Dare Rabbit Massager was a total disaster for me. We were just not compatible in any way. Things didn’t line up right, it assaulted my clit, the vibrations were buzzy and the rotating didn’t quite rotate enough.

First off, getting the right rabbit style vibrator can be tough. Our vulvae are like snowflakes and no two are exactly alike so, you might end up with a rabbit that either overshoots too high or comes in too low and completely misses its mark. The Dare Rabbit’s ears hit me just below my clitoral glans. It was very frustrating because there’s not enough flex in the clitoral arm of the vibrator to bend it up where it might have comfortably rested where I needed it to. For my anatomy, I needed the clitoral arm angled upward quite a bit more. There’s no way I can tell you if this vibrator will work for you because of the differences in anatomy. I think until manufacturers start giving the angle of the clitoral arm in relation to the shaft, it’s going to be hit or miss when trying out rabbit vibrators. Alright, so the bunny ears didn’t land on my clit but that wasn’t the worst of it. The ears are a stiff silicone and they kept stabbing me just under my clit. It was not comfortable… at all. I think if the ears were made of a softer silicone, it might not have been so bad.

I barely restrained myself from hurling it across the room, finished my session with one of my favorite clit vibes, cleaned everything up and proceeded to amputate the rabbit’s ears with the kitchen shears. This vibrator truly deserved to be mutilated and I wanted to see if it worked any better for me without those horrendous ears poking me and guess what… it did! Now I’m not gonna say I turned this vibrator into something that I’m going to reach for on a regular basis but at least now, it doesn’t fucking hurt and yes, it did give me an orgasm but begrudgingly so.

The vibration in the clitoral arm is quite buzzy and while this might not be a problem for some, it’s not what I really want in a vibrator. I can still get off on buzzy vibes but I don’t enjoy it as much. I don’t feel it down deep like I do with more rumbly, thuddy vibrators. But without its ears I could ease this rabbit vibe in deep enough where the head of the clitoral arm nuzzled up against my clitoris. It still hit me a little too low but now I could angle the handle of the vibrator up and get it to reach my clit better. Really though, masturbating should not be this much work and you shouldn’t have to cut parts off modify your toys.

The vibrator in the clitoral arm has 3 levels of steady vibration and 4 patterns. The highest steady vibration is the only thing that really worked for me. The tip of the shaft rotates at three speeds but that was kind of a disappointment too because I barely felt anything. I think it would have been more stimulating if the tip rotated in a wider circle. It’s just not really enough movement to do much for me.

The Dare Rabbit has three buttons. The bottom button turns it on and off. The middle button cycles through the vibration modes and the top button controls the three rotating speed settings. The packaging says that this vibrator is “water resistant” but warns against submerging it. It uses three AAA batteries and they are inserted into a tray that is then inserted into the vibrator and the cap twists shut. The silicone has a matte finish and not much drag. The Dare Rabbit is about 9” long and 3 ¾” of that is insertable down to the clitoral arm (this is after I cut off the ears). The head is 1 ¼” in diameter and it is 1 3/8” midshaft. This vibrator can be cleaned with antibacterial soap and water or with a toy cleaner. If you need to sanitize it, you could try wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution but you wouldn’t be able to dip it since you can’t submerge it. Your best bet is to use water based lube because some silicone lube can damage some silicone toys. This vibrator is relatively quiet but the rotating tip does make a bit more noise than I’d like. It does not come with a storage pouch but a ziplock bag works in a pinch.

I really don’t know what to say to wrap up my review of the Tracey Cox Dare Rabbit Massager. I just didn’t like it.  I appreciate that it was sent to me in exchange for my opinion but I would have been disappointed if I’d bought it. Part of the reason for this negative review is that the vibrator is not compatible with my anatomy and that’s just a problem inherent to rabbit vibrators. Even if it weren’t for the stabby ears, buzzy vibration and boring rotation, I’d still have a hard time recommending this vibrator because I don’t know who it’s going to fit and that’s just how it goes with rabbit vibes. Even if I loved it and told everyone that they needed to have one, it still wouldn’t be right for some because things wouldn’t line up right. But all is not lost, you can still try out a rabbit vibe without worry because Lovehoney has the best return policy around. They accept returns up to 100 days after the date of purchase so that means you can go ahead and give one a try and get your money back if it’s not right for you. I’ve gotten my second glass dildo from Lovehoney, the Waver G-Spot Sensual Glass Dildo.  I was pleased with my first glass dildo and it instantly made me a fan of glass sex toys. It’s nearly the perfect material since it’s nonporous and phthalates free. That means it can be disinfected by boiling for a few minutes or bathing in a 10% bleach solution and it is body safe and hypoallergenic.  Glass holds temperature well and it needs very little lube to glide effortlessly. You can use any lube you like with glass. I particularly love the unyielding rigidity of glass. This might be a turn off for those who prefer squishy dildos but there is something luscious about thrusting a dildo this smooth and solid.

Some people are wary of glass sex toys. They’re afraid it will break inside them. Most glass sex toys on the market are made of borosilicate glass, the stuff that Pyrex cookware is made of. This makes it very strong and durable. These things are solid and you’re not going to break one while masturbating. If you drop it on a hard surface you can chip or crack it so be very careful when cleaning. Always inspect your glass toys for damage before you use them. Glass sex toys are easy to scratch so never use anything abrasive to clean them and remove your rings while washing them. I learned this the hard way when I didn’t take my wedding band off and scratched up a very beautiful glass dildo. I was pretty heartbroken about it so, don’t make the same mistake I did.

The Waver is a basic glass dildo. It lacks a lot of texture or fancy design. It’s straight, through the shaft and then the head angles up slightly. It is 8” end to end. On one end is a bulb that measures 1” in diameter, then there are three undulations each measuring 1” in diameter. The bulbous head is 1 3/8” in diameter and is ever so slightly pointed at the tip but it’s not sharp or pokey. The head has a crease that runs all the way around it and I thought it might be a manufacturing defect but I checked the photo on the product page and it appears to have the same crease. I’m not sure why it’s there. It doesn’t add any sensation. The glass is a light transparent lavender and the Lovehoney heart logo is is etched on one end but it’s not something that can be felt when in use. The packaging is basic and a velvety purple storage pouch is included. I wouldn’t recommend using the Waver anally because it doesn’t have a flared base.

What I like about this dildo is everything I like about glass in general. I love how solid and sleek it is. It cleans up easily with antibacterial soap and water or toy cleaner.  It warms to my body temperature. I get a little G spot stimulation from the upturned head but not quite as much as if the entire dildo were curved. It’s not too girthy. That could be a pro or a con, depending on your preferences. I think it would really work well for someone who can’t tolerate texture of any kind. I also think the Waver could be a good choice for someone who is wanting to try glass for the first time because the price point is reasonable and its design is subtle.

The Tracey Cox Love Egg’s vibrations are quite weak and buzzy. In my hand, they felt a lot stronger than they did once it was inside me. I could barely feel the vibration at all. In fact, it was more distracting than anything else. I think I was concentrating on trying to feel the egg’s vibrations and that made it a bit harder for me to reach orgasm. I always try to keep in mind that just because something didn’t work out for me, it doesn’t mean that someone else wouldn’t like it. But with this egg, it’s hard for me to recommend it to anyone, unless you are really quite sensitive to internal vibration. Then you might actually like that this egg is rather weak. I will say that it was comfortable to have the egg inside me and I had no problem with insertion and removal.

Since this is my first time using a vibrating egg, I had a chat with another reviewer about my experience. She said that she finds most eggs to be generally on the weak side. So, it may not be that this is a bad egg but that it’s just not my thing.  It’s not a total loss, I am able to use the egg on my clit and reach orgasm that way but I really wanted it for internal stimulation. Then again, if I’m going to use something on my clit then I prefer a more rumbly vibrator. Sure, I can get off from the buzzy vibrations of this egg but the deep rumble of something like my Salsa feels so much better. Here again, it’s a totally individual thing and you really never know how you’re going to like something until you try it. That’s why I’m not totally against trying other vibrating eggs in the future. There could always be one out there that I’ll like.

The Tracey Cox Love Egg is 2 1/2” long and about 1 3/8″ in diameter. It has 7 functions, three levels of steady vibration and four patterns. The remote control has a pretty good range (over 10′). There are two buttons on the remote, one that turns it on and off. The other cycles through the functions. The remote requires one 23A battery and the egg uses two N batteries. The package includes all three batteries but they didn’t last very long and it might be hard to find replacements.

The egg is made of ABS plastic which is nonporous and free of latex and phthalates. The packaging states that the egg is watertight. I don’t know if this means that it’s splash proof or submergible. It comes in one color, black and has a silver band around it. The package recommends using water based lube but I don’t see why silicone lube couldn’t be used since it is plastic. This egg is fairly quiet. Under a thick blanket it could be heard in the same room but not outside a closed door. You can clean the egg with antibacterial soap, a 10% bleach solution or toy cleaner. I would not consider this toy safe for anal play. Even though it does have a retrieval cord, it’s probably not long enough to reach it if the egg moved up into the rectum.

If you’re extremely sensitive to internal vibration and other insertable vibrators have been too strong for you then maybe, the Tracey Cox Love Egg would work for you. If you know you need strong, rumbly internal vibration then you should pass on this. As with all things in life that you try, when it comes to sex toys, you win some and you lose some. There will be those that totally rock your world, others you’ll be somewhat indifferent about and yes, some that are disappointments. The fun part is trying new things and discovering what you like. That’s why it’s so great to shop for toys at Lovehoney. The “Sexual Happiness People” over at Lovehoney.com were so awesome, they gave me the Fifty Shades Glass Dildo (I’m shortening the name because Fifty Shades of Grey Drive Me Crazy Glass Massage Wand is a ridiculously long name) in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is my first glass dildo and now I know why glass is such an incredible material for sex toys. I can seriously see myself getting addicted to glass toys. The sensuously sleek finish of the glass glides effortlessly with very little lube. If you self lubricate well, you might not even need any lube at all. I don’t and so I need just a small amount of silicone or water based lube and it lasts an amazingly long time on this toy. The deliciously unyielding rigidity of the glass is becoming something my body craves.

The glass holds temperature well and even at room temperature it feels cool upon insertion but quickly warms with my body heat. This makes glass dildos great for temperature play, if you like to chill your dildos in the fridge. Or you can soak the dildo in warm water just prior to use if you don’t want the shock of a cool dildo entering you. I’m lazy and don’t necessarily like to pre-plan my masturbation sessions so I just have at it, as is and even though I don’t care for the initial coolness of the glass, it’s not a big deal because it does warm up nicely inside me.

The Fifty Shades Glass Dildo is a good Goldilocks size in length and girth. The dildo measures 7 1/4” from end to end. The shaft is 1” in diameter and is adorned with 6 raised beads which rise about 1/8” high. On one end is a vaguely phallic head that is 1 3/8” in diameter and slightly tapers to a rounded point, which eases insertion. The other side ends with two bulbs (sort of a double bubble) that are each 1 3/8” in diameter. The end bulb is etched with the words “Fifty Shades of Grey” but I don’t feel the lettering when inserted. It’s nice that this dildo is double ended and can be used either way.

The 6 raised beads provide a little texture but nothing extreme. I feel them mostly when they graze past my vaginal entrance and I enjoy the sensation. The Fifty Shades Glass Dildo is slightly curved and it does a fair job of stimulating my G spot. As a newcomer to sex toys and having just recently discovered my G spot (and what kind of stimulation it likes), I find that I need a lot of pressure against it and I can’t quite get as much as I want from this dildo (it’s a leverage thing) but I do enjoy it for thrusting. If you don’t require as much hard pressure against your G spot as I do, then this dildo would probably work well for you. And if you’re not concerned at all about G spot stimulation, this is still a great glass dildo for thrusting.

The Fifty Shades Glass Dildo is made of completely uncolored, transparent glass and in its pure simplicity lies its beauty. The 6 raised beads elevate it to a level just beyond basic. It’s easy to keep clean because glass is one of the most hygienic materials for sex toys, as it’s nonporous. It’s also body safe and phthalates free. Routine cleaning can be done by simply washing it well with antibacterial soap and warm water. It can be sanitized in a number of ways including, washing in a 10% bleach solution. The dildo comes in fairly basic packaging that has a decent presentation. An unpadded satin storage pouch, which is a lot larger than it needs to be, is included and is printed with the words “Fifty Shades of Grey”.

I don’t know much about the Fifty Shades of Grey books other than they’ve sparked an interest in sex toys and kink for many and opening up to exploring sexuality is always a good thing, in my opinion. So, it wasn’t the connection to the books that drew me to this dildo. I wanted to review this dildo because it looked like a nice glass toy for beginners and since I am one, I can say that I think it is a good choice. It’s well crafted and moderately sized. The beads provide just enough texture to make it interesting but I don’t think it would be too much for most people. And, it’s reasonably priced. On the other hand, I don’t see any reason why this dildo wouldn’t appeal to the glass aficionado as well.
