Cue up the sad -and I mean sorrowful- trombone. The We-Vibe Nova looked like no other dual stimulating vibe that I’d seen. It also looked like it could solve a lot of common problems with dual stimulators. I was all but certain that, with its unique design, it would romance my vulva like no other before it. And I was damn near devastated when it turned out to be totally incompatible with my anatomy.

What the hell is up with my vulva, anyway? Quirky damn thing doesn’t often get along with rabbit vibes. Actually, it’s not that uncommon that dual stimulators don’t fit people right, since our vulvae are all a bit different. I’ll probably always prefer using two separate toys for dual stim because then there’s not the fit problem and I can also move each toy around any way I want.

The design of the Nova appeared to remedy one common problem with rabbit vibes. The way the clit arm is constructed, it maintains constant contact with the clit. And that part does work. With most rabbit vibes, if you want to thrust then the clit arm is constantly coming off the clit. I don’t know about you but I can’t get off like that.

Unfortunately, the thing about the clit arm’s, constant contact design is that it puts an uncomfortable amount of pressure against my clit, especially when I inserted the shaft as deeply as I wanted to. Now, some folks adore pressure and this might turn out to be a bonus for them but clearly, my clit was having none of it.

The Nova’s clit arm also looked like it would solve another problem I find with most rabbit vibes – they usually don’t reach up high enough. I have yet to break out the tape measure but I’m convinced that there’s like a country mile between my clit and vagina. At least the part of my clit that likes to be stimulated must be sitting up really damn high… and the Nova couldn’t reach up to meet it.

So, it’s kind of hard for me to recommend a dual stimulator when it’s just so completely wrong for me but I think I’d still recommend the Nova. Despite our incompatibility, I do believe it’s a really cool vibe. It’s the kind of quality you’d expect from We-Vibe and the vibration is very nice, deep and rumbly in both the shaft and the clit arm.

I think if someone bought it, lucked out and it fit them, they’d be pretty happy with it. In fact, I know another reviewer for which the Nova made her want to sing. Luckily all the smart engineering that We-Vibe put into the Nova worked out perfectly for her. But buying a rabbit vibe is always a gamble. You just never know if it’s going to work until after you’ve tried it. And most of the time, that means you wasted your money.

I do appreciate all the features they built into the Nova. It’s waterproof, USB rechargeable through a sturdy magnetic connection and the silicone is silky soft with no real drag to speak of. I did have a little bit of difficulty finding the buttons with my thumb. They’re not very prominent and I often had to kind of pull it out of my vag and look down to find the button I wanted. It also would have been nice if We-Vibe had included the ability to control each motor independently. It has 9 patterns but you probably already know I don’t care about that… they just don’t do anything for me.

Another feature that the Nova has that’s pretty cool but useless for me is that it’s Bluetooth enabled and can be controlled via smart phone with the We-Connect app. It can be controlled remotely by smart phone or tablet in the same room or from across the country. I didn’t test this feature because I don’t have a smart phone so, I can’t say how well the app works. If it’s better than the OhMiBod BlueMotion app, which made me wanna throw things, then We-Vibe would be ahead of the game.

There’s not much more I can say about the We-Vibe Nova. I think it’s a great vibe with an innovative design. It just didn’t work for me. And that’s fine, not every toy is going to be perfect for every body. So I don’t hold it against the Nova that it didn’t fit my vulva like a glove. I have to be honest, I was disappointed and had I spent my own money to buy the Nova and then found out that it wasn’t going to work for me… I’d probably be more than disappointed. But then that’s why I prefer and often suggest using two toys for dual stimulation.

However, if you have your heart set on getting a rabbit vibe and you’re willing to take the chance that it will fit you then I can say that the Nova is a solid, well-made vibe that’s successfully designed to maintain constant contact with the clit while thrusting – and that fixes one major problem that most rabbit vibes have. It’s obvious that a lot of thought went into the design of the Nova and that’s one of the many things I appreciate about We-Vibe, even when one of their toys aren’t perfect for me.

That said, they do make two of my favorite clit vibes, the Touch and Tango and I’m thrilled with their new asymmetrically shaped G-spot vibe, the Rave. I can’t wait to see what they come out with next and hopefully I get to try it because it is always a treat to have the chance to evaluate such high-quality products.

Is the We-Vibe Rave really a Tango for your G-spot? Well, I’d say it’s more like a Touch for the G-spot, which means it still kicks ass. This is We-Vibe’s first venture into solo use insertable vibrators and I am more than impressed. The Rave is everything you’d expect from We-Vibe – quality built, strong rumbly vibration, silky soft silicone.

Yet, it lacks one thing and I’m perplexed as to why they cut this corner. The Rave is splash-proof, not waterproof. Which means, you can get it wet enough to clean it but don’t submerge it. Cost savings is the only reason I can think of that they did it this way. Even still, the Rave isn’t exactly inexpensive. I don’t know how much waterproofing would drive up the price but I really wish they hadn’t skimped on this. However, that’s the only real complaint I have about the Rave. I love everything else about it.

The first time I tried it was on my clit and it felt incredible. I forgot all about the fact that I could also stick it in my vag. Once I got my fill of clitoral orgasms, I did try it internally and it rattled my G-spot in the best way. The vibration is strong and rumbly. If you’re familiar with the Touch and Tango, the vibrations feel a lot like those. It has more than enough power to stand up to some dual stimulation with another vibe on my clit, which is heavenly I might add. May I just suggest the Touch on your clit and the Rave in your vag? That combo leaves me quivering.

The Rave also has a feature that sets it apart from any other vibrator I’ve seen. Its shape is asymmetrical. Why would they do this? I really wasn’t sure at first. Then I started playing around with it in my vag and stumbled upon a brand new sensation. By twisting the handle side to side, the Rave stimulated my G-spot in a way that my other G-spotting toys do not. That’s where the asymmetry comes in. With a small movement of your wrist, you can produce a rather unique kind of sensation. My G-spot definitely took notice. With the vibration going combined with the twisting motion and a vibe on my clit, I easily had some pretty epic blended orgasms. I wholeheartedly approve and so does my G-spot. We-Vibe took a chance and did something out of the box and it worked.

The company that owns We-Vibe recently purchased Laid – a company known for its stone dildos and they have one that is asymmetrical (the D.2), a bit like the Rave. So, I’m wondering if that’s where the inspiration came from. Whatever it was that inspired the idea, it was a good one.

The Rave has about 4.75” of insertable length until you reach the charging port. Unlike other We-Vibe products that are charged through a magnetic connection, the Rave has a port that you plug into. Though not perfectly round, the thickest part at the head measures about 4.5” around.

This vibe has 9 patterns and steady vibration. Intensity is incrementally adjustable for all modes. Press and hold the (+) or (-) buttons to adjust intensity. The middle button turns it on/off and cycles through the patterns.

The manual suggests that you use We-Vibe’s cleaner and lube but that’s not totally necessary. You can simply use soap and water to clean it (or a commercial cleaner) and any water-based lube will work with this vibe.

The Rave is also Bluetooth enabled and it can be controlled via smart phone with the We-Connect app. I didn’t test this feature for a number of reasons, not least of which was my frustration with the OhMiBod Nex 2. That’s not to say that the Rave’s Bluetooth capability would be as quirky. It’s just difficult for me to test these features since I don’t have a smart phone.

We-Vibe is one of my favorite companies for many reasons. They make quality products – two of my most beloved clit vibes and now one of my favorite G-spot vibes. I can’t say I love everything they make since, I wasn’t a huge fan of the Pleasure Mates Collection but that’s OK. Not every toy is made for every body. But in my opinion, they created a masterpiece with the Rave. At least as far as my G-spot and clit are concerned. And let’s face it, that’s all that really matters. I do wish it was waterproof but that’s not a huge deal for me, since I hardly ever use toys in the bath. If you feel the same way about that then I can definitely say that the We-Vibe Rave is an awesome G-spotter, with a special twist and it’s totally worth it.

I’ve never wanted to ever give anything but praise to We-Vibe because they make two of my favorite vibrators – the Touch and Tango. I think their quality is superb and it’s like they really listen to what their customers are saying. I love this company so much for giving me the clit vibe of my dreams. The Touch has NEVER let me down and the Tango makes a splendid backup for when my Touch is dead or when I use another toy with a bullet cavity.

As much as I love this company, I just can’t sugar coat the fact that I wasn’t blown away by the Glow and Dusk. I really wanted to like them but there’s just no chemistry between the three of us. Our escapades together lack that certain something special that makes me really love a sex toy.

It’s been widely known that the We-Vibe Tango pairs up marvelously with toys that have a bullet cavity, like Tantus’ vibrating dildos. I suppose We-Vibe finally caught on to the fact that people love sticking the Tango inside other toys so, the Glow and Dusk were born. When I saw them, I thought it was a great idea. I still do… but I guess it’s just the shape and size of these toys that don’t work out so well for us.

First, the Glow. Main problem? It’s just too small¹. When I first saw pictures of it I got all excited because it resembles the LELO ELLA, which I love. But when I actually got it in my hands I was surprised by how dainty it is. Undeterred by the size, I went into testing it with an open mind. This is We-Vibe, I thought, and everything they do is pure magic. I inserted the Tango into the Glow, lubed it up, stuck it in my vag, started thrusting with it – and was completely underwhelmed. It’s like, nothing about it stimulated me in the least. My G-spot didn’t even know it was there. I was sick with disappointment and immediately felt the dread of having to write a negative review, which was the last thing I wanted to do with a We-Vibe product.

But, it is what it is. The Glow just doesn’t do it for me. You win some and you lose some. On the bright side, I got the Glow as part of the Pleasure Mates Collection so I now have a pretty pearly white Tango in my possession – all is not lost. Interestingly, while my vagina thought the Glow was as boring as watching paint dry, my clit loved it. Go figure. The vibrations from the Tango travel through the Glow nicely into the head and with the head on my clit, orgasms happen. And it was much easier to hold onto than just the Tango on its own.

As much as I like it for clitoral stimulation I can’t really give it a glowing review because for me, it failed at its intended purpose. I’m sure there are some people out there that will like it, mostly those who are looking for something smaller. I have no complaints whatsoever about the quality of the Glow or Dusk. I think if We-Vibe made a larger version of the Glow, with more girth, a larger head and bit more length, they’d have a winner.

So, what about the Dusk²?  The first thing I tried was to achieve this alleged “hands-free” orgasm I’ve been hearing about. Supposedly, if you put the Tango in the Dusk and put the Dusk in your vagina, you can just sit there and lazily have orgasms auto-magically. I don’t doubt that this can work for some folks because, when I had it inserted, the Tango did rest on my clit, and if I could get off by just sticking a vibe on my clit and leaving it there then it probably would have worked. But for whatever reason, that’s not my clit’s jam. It likes to be rubbed with a vibrator. There has to be that mechanical motion combined with the vibration to make the magic happen.

But that’s not really what the Dusk was made for anyway. How is it as a butt plug? Well, for some reason, I just have not felt compelled to stick things in my ass lately. I knew I had to finish this review but for the life of me… I just did not want to put the Dusk in my ass. I guess my interest in butt play waxes and wanes. So, I told dizzyguy about my dilemma and he graciously stepped up to save the day. His verdict? Big thumbs down.

I put the Dusk with the tango in it, into his ass and proceeded to give him a blow job but the Dusk kept popping out. This is a problem I know all too well. Many a butt plug has been projected from my ass during the course of sexy activities. Some plugs do manage to stay inserted better than others but for dizzyguy, the Dusk wanted out of his butt in the worst way. He tried keeping it in while we had sex and I could tell it was distracting for him, as he clenched and tried to keep it from escaping. And toward the big finish, it did finally launch itself from his ass. So it would seem that dizzyguy had about as much luck with the Dusk as I did with the Glow. The only clear winner here is the Tango that I got as part of the set.

Since the Glow and Dusk are made of silicone, they are body-safe and water-based lube is recommended.  You can clean the Glow, Dusk and Tango with soap and water or a 10% bleach solution to sanitize.  The Pleasure Mates Collection comes nicely packaged and a single pouch to hold everything is included.  You can also buy the Glow and Dusk separately but the Tango is not included.  You get a one year warranty on these We-Vibe products.

It is with a heavy heart that I have to write anything less than a stellar review for a We-Vibe product but not all sex toys are going to be right for all people. The Glow and Dusk were just wrong for the both of us. That’s not to say that they wouldn’t work for someone else. I think if you need a smaller toy for insertion, the Glow might work for you. And if your ass is really good at keeping butt plugs in place, maybe the Dusk would be right for you. Unfortunately, I just can’t say if either one of them will be a perfect fit. All I really can say is that neither were perfect for us. Incompatibilities aside, I do think these are quality products and I’d expect nothing less from We-Vibe.

I always say, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” because more often than not, if a company tries to improve upon something that’s already great, they usually just screw it up. But every now and then, there’s an exception and the new We-Vibe Tango is one of them. I didn’t think there was much room for improvement on the original Tango but We-Vibe gave it a few slight tweaks, while preserving everything that was already awesome.

So many reviewers love the Tango and for good reason. It’s small but mighty with a deep satisfying, rumbly vibration. It’s without a doubt, the best bullet vibe out there. The only common complaint about the original Tango was the fiddly charging base. I don’t have the original Tango but I do have the now discontinued Salsa, which has the same round, fiddly charger and it was really the only thing I disliked about it. We-Vibe totally fixed all the problems with the original charger by making it square, instead of round and I think the magnets are stronger so, it attaches securely. Problem solved.

We-Vibe could have stopped there and would have achieved perfection but they added another little feature that the original Tango lacked. There is now a low battery indicator light on the base that flashes when it needs to be recharged.

The colors are also different than the original. I like the blue but I’m not all that excited about the pink.

Some have said that the new Tango is more powerful than the original but I can’t really tell a difference between it and my Salsa. That’s OK though because as it is, it has plenty of rumble and power to satisfy those who need strong vibration.

The new Tango and my old Salsa are two of my favorite vibes. They’re both so simple, yet effective. I don’t get much out of the patterns but I’m not much of a pattern gal anyway. The four levels of steady vibration are perfect though and it stays pretty rumbly from low to high. The Tango is a great vibe to use in conjunction with a G-spot toy for dual stimulation because it’s small enough that it doesn’t get in the way. This also makes it great to use while having sex.

The Tango is also great to use with other toys that have a bullet cavity, like Tantus’ vibrators or their new Perfect Plug Plus. It also fits in Fuze’s toys with bullet cavities, like the Ultra. And now you can get the Tango with its own accessories.

In addition to the four levels of steady vibration there are four patterns of pulsation and escalation. There is a single button on the base and you press and hold to turn it on. Press and hold to turn it off or cycle through all of the functions. The Tango doesn’t have a travel lock and that’s about the only thing I think We-Vibe could add to make this vibe even better than it already is.

This vibe is USB rechargeable but it doesn’t come with an A/C wall adapter so, if you need one, you can get it here. It takes 90 minutes to fully charge and during charging the light on the charging base stays on. It goes off when charging is complete. A full charge is supposed to supply you with 2 hours of run time. I’m not really sure about that since I never run it down completely in one session.

Since the Tango is water-proof and made of nonporous, body-safe ABS plastic, it’s easy to clean with soap and water, a toy cleaner or a 10% bleach solution to sanitize. We-Vibe says to use water-based lube with the Tango but I don’t see why you couldn’t use silicone-based or hybrid lube. I guess they’re concerned about the silicone at the base but I haven’t had any problems using silicone-based lube.

It is nicely packaged and the box can be used for storage but it also comes with a pouch and you get a one year warranty.

The We-Vibe Tango is a great little, power-packed vibrator. What more can I say? It’s versatile and affordable so, if you’re on the fence about getting one, I say do it… now. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

How do you make a great vibe even better? Wrap it in some luscious, silky soft silicone. I loved almost everything about the original We-Vibe Touch, except the lint collecting glossy silicone, which I just tolerated because everything else was awesome. When I got a chance to try the We-Vibe 4 and I felt their new matte silicone, I said that they should redo the Touch with that silicone. Well, they must have heard me because… they did it! What? Ya’ll didn’t know I was that influential?

Seriously though, the new matte silicone makes the Touch perfect all the way around and it’s not a lint magnet like the original Touch. There are a couple of other small changes that were made but for me, the most impactful change is the silicone. So what else did We-Vibe change? They gave the new Touch a low battery indicator and the charger stays connected to the vibe much better than before.

The new Touch’s vibration feels exactly the same to me as the original. And that’s a good thing because there was not a single thing wrong with the original Touch’s strong rumbly vibration. So, if you read my review of the original Touch, all the wonderful things I said about it totally apply to the new Touch as well. Quite simply, We-Vibe got everything right with the new Touch.

The vibrations are deep and rumbly and very strong for a vibe this size. The Touch brings me to orgasm fairly easily and any time a vibe can manage to do that, I’m going to be very fond of it. I love its pointy little tip. It’s the prefect shape and size for my clit. There’s also a shallow scoop on the underside that can provide a little more broad stimulation if that’s more your thing but if you need very broad stimulation then you might not like the Touch as much as I do.

The new Touch has the same settings as the old Touch – four levels of steady vibration and 4 patterns. The patterns don’t really do much for me but that’s nothing unusual. The lowest steady vibration is very rumbly and the vibrations pretty much stay that way up to the highest setting.

There is a single button and you simply press it to turn it on. Press repeatedly to step through the settings. Pressing the button after the last pattern will turn it off and it will start again at the lowest steady vibration setting. You can also turn it off at any time by pressing and holding the button. Then it will start on the setting it was on when you turned it off.

Now that I’m thinking about it, there might be one more thing that We-Vibe could do to make this vibe better than perfect. I wish it was possible to go backwards through the modes but you can’t with the single button. If perhaps, they had two buttons on the top of the vibe near the end, where the word “Touch” and the We-Vibe logo are located, that allowed you to step through the settings in either direction, I’d love this vibe even more. Maybe I can convince them to do that on the next generation Touch¹.

The charger for the old Touch was a little fiddly (drove people crazy) and could easily disconnect from the charging contacts but they fixed that by making the new charger square-ish instead of round and it seems like the magnets are stronger. It takes 90 minutes to fully charge and We-Vibe says that should give you around 2 hours of run time, depending on the modes that are used. The light on the charger comes on while it’s charging and goes off when it’s done. There is now a low battery indicator and the light at the button end flashes to let you know you should recharge the vibe.

The Touch is fully waterproof and it’s easy to clean. Just use soap and water or a toy cleaner. To sanitize, use a 10% bleach solution and rinse it well with water. We-Vibe specifies the use of water-based lube and that’s probably a good idea because some silicone-based lube can damage some silicone sex toys. But I have used Sliquid Silk, which is a hybrid lube, without a problem. Always spot test first if you’re going to try silicone-based or hybrid lube.

The noise level of the new Touch is the same as the old one and I don’t think it’ll blow your cover. The packaging is pretty nice and it’s substantial enough for storage. A pouch is also included and the Touch is covered by a 1 year warranty.

The new Touch has the same great rumbly vibrations as the old one but it’s wrapped in luxurious matte silicone that glides over my skin and I think that makes it damn near perfect. It’s one of my favorite vibes and I can always count on it to deliver blissful orgasms. Some folks think that the silicone dampens the vibration too much. If you compare it to the Tango then yes, the vibrations are somewhat dampened but it’s still powerful enough to get me off. If you want nothing getting between you and the same deep rumbly vibration then you might opt for the Tango but I have absolutely no reservations recommending the Touch. They’re both great vibrators and I probably use them about equally, depending on my mood.

When it arrived, I was so excited to try it but I wouldn’t have my chance to share it with dizzyguy until the evening and I didn’t want to wait. So, I decided to familiarize myself with it beforehand using a dildo. I lubed the whole vibrator with water-based lube and inserted it, adjusting the clitoral arm into position. It felt like it was grabbing on tight to my body but not in an uncomfortable way. I was just surprised at how securely in place it felt. I played around with the remote, going through all the modes. The vibration felt really good but I was pretty sure that the We-Vibe 4 wouldn’t be able to bring me to orgasm. This is mainly because my clit seems to need to be stroked with a vibrator. Just holding a vibrator against it won’t do it. And of course, that’s what the 4 does… it kind of just sits there, hugging against my clit.

Even still, I enjoyed the sensation and felt like it was time to see if I could fit a dildo in there too. I had mostly thicker dildos available at the time and really didn’t want to try to use one of those so, I was relieved when I found my Tantus Revolve. The girth on that one isn’t challenging for me and I figured if I could squeeze that in there, dizzyguy would probably fit, especially since it’s made of rigid aluminum. I pushed the bulbous head of the Revolve against my vagina and right away, I could tell just how much tighter it was going to be with the 4 in there. With plenty of lube and some gentle pushing, it popped right in. It was a tight squeeze but nothing about it was painful or uncomfortable in any way. I proceeded to thrust a bit with the Revolve and I could really feel it pushing the 4 into my G spot. I was enjoying it but just as I suspected, try as I might, I couldn’t have an orgasm. Regardless, I couldn’t wait to try it with dizzyguy.

That evening we got down to business. I felt totally at ease because I’d already taken the 4 for a test drive but he still seemed a bit apprehensive. Again, I lubed it all up really well and inserted it then lubed up dizzyguy’s penis and told him to go for it. He tentatively pushed the head of his penis against the opening for a moment, commenting on the resistance he felt. I said I was fine and that it wouldn’t hurt me and told him to just go ahead and push it in, as long as it felt comfortable to him. Before we tried it, we’d initially thought that the only way the 4 could possibly stay in place was if dizzyguy just did a little gentle bump and grind motion. Granted, we didn’t get as rough as I usually like but I think we were both a little hesitant to go really crazy with it, especially on our first try.

The dual vibration felt great and we had fun going through the various modes. I was particularly interested in the Echo mode (vibration alternates between internal and external) because it felt so cool in my hands. It wasn’t quite as spectacular as I’d hoped but it was enjoyable. All the modes were pleasurable but I think we both got the most stimulation from the steady vibration. So after playing around with it for a bit, I set it on steady as he continued thrusting.

Now dizzyguy is not a man of many words and never really describes anything with much enthusiasm or conviction but when I asked him if it he liked it, he said that it did feel good.  I watched him as he came and based on his reaction, it seemed as though the vibration and increased constriction enhanced his orgasm. We both came away from the experience surprised by how well it all went and how much we liked it. Lying there in post coital bliss, we discussed the experience and both agreed that there was absolutely nothing about it we didn’t like and we could see ourselves using the 4 from time to time in the future.

I haven’t tried any of the previous versions of the We-Vibe but there are a couple of changes that were made to the 4 that are obvious improvements. The previous We-Vibes were made of a glossy silicone like that of the Touch and that silicone has quite a bit of drag and attracts lint worse than any other toy I own. The 4 has been made of a matte silicone that feels velvety soft and there is far less drag. Thankfully, it’s not a lint magnet either. We-Vibe, if you’re listening, make a Touch II using the new matte silicone and keep everything else about it the same.¹  I’ll go on record to say that would make the perfect clit vibe (at least for me). Another change that has been made is the insertable arm is flattened whereas, the previous versions had a more rounded arm and the 4 is 30% smaller than the We-Vibe 3.  I can only imagine this makes everything more comfortable for all involved.

When the 4 first arrived, my initial assessment was that the vibration was pretty strong. At least it felt that way in my hands. But in use, it didn’t feel as powerful as I expected. It doesn’t feel as intense as the Salsa/Tango, for example. The vibration is nice and rumbly though and it would be strong enough to get me off, if it weren’t for my finicky clit that demands stroking.

The 4 has 6 modes that consist of 3 levels of steady vibration and 3 patterns. With the remote you can fine tune the steady vibration and the patterns by stepping through 10 levels of intensity.  The modes can be changed via the button located on the clitoral arm or with the remote. I don’t think I would have enjoyed it quite as much if it weren’t remote controlled.  There is a motor in both arms but they can’t be independently controlled (hey, there’s an idea).  To turn it off you can either press and hold the button on the clitoral arm for a few seconds or press and hold the bottom button on the remote.

I love the little storage case/charging base and how the 4 sits in there along with the remote. There are no charging contacts on the 4 or the charging base.  Instead, it charges through inductive technology.  This is how I wish all rechargeable toys were made. The charging base comes with a USB cable but a USB to A/C adapter is not included so, you’ll have to pick one up if you’re like me and you don’t like using your laptop to recharge your sex toys. It takes 6 hours (yes, 6) to fully charge and will maintain a charge for several months, continuously diminishing over time. We-Vibe states that a full charge should provide 3 hours of run time. You don’t have to wait until it’s fully drained to put it back on the charger though.  So theoretically, it should always be ready when you are. The remote is water resistant not waterproof so, avoid submerging it (the 4 itself is completely waterproof). It requires a CR2032 battery and one is included. The remote has a range of about 10 feet.

The We-Vibe 4 is non-porous, phthalates free and body safe. You can clean it with antibacterial soap and water or a toy cleaner. A 10% bleach solution can be used to sanitize it. It’s probably best to use water-based lube since some silicone lubes can damage some silicone toys.  For those of you who are sick to death of pink and purple sex toys (I know you’re out there), you’re out of luck. The 4 only comes in those two tired, over used colors but I don’t mind. Color is one of the last things I think about when choosing a sex toy.

I think We-Vibe got everything right with the 4. Admittedly, it could stand to have a bit more power for my liking but it was still stimulating enough for me to enjoy using it.  The biggest surprise to me was how much dizzyguy liked it, especially since he was so skeptical.  We both agree that it’s something we’ll keep in our arsenal. If you can have orgasms by holding a vibrator in place against your clit then I think you’ll really enjoy the We-Vibe 4. It also enhances G-spot stimulation both through the vibration and from the physical pressure applied against it when thrusting and I was impressed by how well it stayed in place. I’m definitely happy with the We-Vibe 4 and I think it’s a great way to add a little something new to your repertoire that both of you can enjoy.

I was starting to feel like I needed to be rescued from mediocre sex toys. The last few I’ve reviewed ranged from “not my thing” to “just OK” and “meh”. Then We-Vibe sent me the Touch and now I have something to get excited about. The Touch has a lot to live up to if it’s going to impress me as much as the Salsa and so far, it’s measuring up.

The Touch has that same incredible motor that’s in the Salsa and Tango but it’s housed in a chubbier silicone body. I was concerned that the silicone would dampen the vibration too much but it doesn’t. There is a slight difference in the feeling of the intensity between the Salsa and the Touch but even on the lowest steady vibration, the Touch is leaving me breathless. I have been grabbing it over my Salsa and if you know how much I love that thing, that’s saying something.

Touch’s silicone (which is among the safest sex toy materials) has a glossy finish and comes in 3 colors, purple, ruby and teal. This is the first silicone toy I’ve tried that has a finish like this and if I thought some of my other toys had drag… they don’t even come close to the drag produced by this shiny silicone. But with enough lube, everything glides along my clit just fine. The Touch, with its chunkier body is easier to hold than the Salsa and the draggy silicone makes less likely to slip from my fingers.

There is just something about the rounded tip of this vibe that I absolutely adore against my clit. It feels amazing when I stroke it up and down the length of it. On the underside of the tip there is a scoop that hugs the clit just right if you need broad vibration. I prefer more pin pointed, directed vibration and I hold it more vertically so just the tip touches. Most of the time, the first two (lowest) steady vibration speeds are all I need to reach orgasm and they are intense. I give credit for that to the rumbly motor. Unlike buzzy vibrators, the Touch reaches down deep and shakes the internal part of the clitoris which just makes my body explode in ecstasy. I love this thing… I really do. Is it possible that I love it more than the Salsa? It comes dangerously close to trumping it. I’d say they share the top spot for my favorite clit vibe.

Since the Touch is built with the same motor as the Salsa and Tango, it’s going to have the same features and operation. There are 8 modes consisting of four steady vibration speeds and four patterns.

The Tease pattern did just that. The Wave felt like a roller coaster. The Pulse kind of makes my clit throb (in a good way) but isn’t something I could get off on. The Cha-cha feels sort of… all over the place. It has a rhythm but it made my clit crazy (not in a good way). Operation is simple, with one button that is held for 3 seconds to turn it off and it remembers which mode you were in.

The Touch requires 90 minutes of charging time when you first get it home. Since that initial charge, I use it, clean it and put it right back on the charger so, I never take the chance of it dying in the middle of a session. I can’t speak directly to the run time per charge (since I never let it run down) but We-Vibe states that it runs for 2 hours on a single charge.

This vibe is completely waterproof and charges through a magnetic connection to the charging base (I’ve found that laying it upside down allows a better connection). This means it is both splash proof and submersible; making it ideal for use in the tub or shower. It’s also a breeze to clean. Just wash well in antibacterial soap and water or you can use a toy cleaner. For total sanitizing, you can use a 10% bleach solution. This glossy silicone attracts dust, lint and everything else like crazy (as you can see in my picture). Seriously, it’s the worst silicone toy I have for picking up lint. So don’t towel dry this thing after you wash it. I like to just let it air dry atop a paper towel. Then, it stores away nicely in the included white satin pouch. I never put it in there though. After it’s dry, I connect the charger and let it sit on the pouch so, it’s always ready when I need it.

The cord can be unplugged from the charging base (I still can’t figure out why they made it that way) and if lost or broken, a replacement can be ordered from We-Vibe. This vibe is very quiet. Under a thick blanket, I could barely hear it in the same room. Outside the closed door it could not be heard. The Touch is vaguely bean shaped with a pointed end and is 3 3/4” long and 4 3/4” around at the widest point. This vibe does not have a flared base and is therefore, not safe for anal insertion. The manual specifies the use of water based lube only. We-Vibe covers the Touch with a one year warranty.

I simply don’t have any complaints about the Touch. If you pressed me really hard to come up with something, I’d say maybe the silicone could be less draggy but really with lube, this is not a problem. I don’t even know if it would feel as good if the silicone had a matte finish. I think this vibe is just about perfect in every way. The only way I would not recommend this vibe is if you have the Salsa or Tango and they are not intense enough for you because the vibrations are ever so slightly dampened from the silicone construction of the Touch. But really, there isn’t much of a difference in intensity and I do think that the size, shape and glossy silicone make the Touch unique enough that it’s worth getting even if you already own the Salsa and/or Tango.

I am so thankful that We-Vibe sent me this awesome vibrator in exchange for my opinion. They make some incredible vibrators and the Touch is no exception. This is a toy that excites me and makes me feel blessed that I have a clitoris. This is a vibrator that I can feel good about recommending because I really do feel like it would be a good choice for just about anyone.

When it arrived, I immediately plugged it in to charge for the 90 minutes suggested in the manual.  It seemed to take forever because I was so eager to find out what all the fuss was about.  When I first pushed the button and it came on, it startled me a bit.  I really wasn’t expecting that kind of power.  On low, I laid it on the table and it spun around, doing donuts.

I started out on low at first and then cycled through the modes.  Low is a very rumbly vibration.  The four steady vibration modes (3000, 3600, 4200, 4800rpm) get a little buzzy as you go up but it’s still more rumbly that most bullet vibes.  I usually don’t get much out of patterns but of course I played around with them:

Wave

Pulse

Cha-cha

The patterns are fun to play with but when it’s time to get down to business, I need steady, consistent vibration.  So, I cycled back to low and went to work, and to my pleasant surprise, after just a short amount of time… I had an orgasm. On low.  You’re thinking: well no shit, that’s the point, right?  But you don’t know what this means.  I had an orgasm and it was easy.  It really just kind of snuck up on me because I didn’t anticipate being able to get off without a lot of effort, using a high vibration mode.  But I didn’t have to go there.  I can’t tell you the sense of relief I felt, knowing that this thing could give me such effortless, predictable orgasms.  I know I mentioned before that it isn’t always easy for me to get off.  At times it can be so frustrating.  I couldn’t be happier about what this vibrator has done for me.

So yeah, very pleased with the Salsa.  Wish I would have bought 5 of them.  Why 5?  Because We-Vibe, in all it’s infinite wisdom, decided to discontinue the Salsa so, when mine finally gives up the ghost (let’s hope that’s not for a very long time) I’m not going to be able to get a replacement.  It’ll be like losing a dear friend.

There is some good news though.  We-Vibe makes an almost identical vibrator called the Tango.  It shares the same motor and construction of the Salsa but the tip is shaped differently.  The tip of the Tango is flat on one side so it resembles a tube of lipstick whereas; the Salsa comes to a nice point.  And that point may just be part of why the Salsa is so good for me.  It seems that my clit responds more to pin point vibration than to broad.  So, I’m not sure if the Tango will be as good for me in that regard… but I will get one… when I have to.

That’s my experience with the Salsa.  It reiterates what I’ve read in so many other positive reviews.  Now, for the specs.

The Salsa is 3 inches long, comes in three colors (red, white and black) and is constructed from PC-ABS (Polycarbonate/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) thermoplastic.  Silicone or water based lube can be used with the Salsa and I do prefer a little bit on the tip because the glossy plastic has just a little drag.

It takes 90 minutes for a full charge and We-Vibe says that should give you 2 hours of play time.  I’ve not let it run long enough to find out.  After I use it I put it back on the charger.  I’ve heard that you get less time out of a charge, the more you use the higher vibration modes and I guess that makes sense.  One strange thing I can’t figure out is that the charger comes in two pieces.  The cord unplugs from the small round charging unit.  I imagine this could make it easy to lose one or the other.  If you do lose it, you can get a replacement from We-Vibe’s website.

The Salsa is waterproof so you can take it into the shower or bath.  This also makes it easy to clean.  I just lather it up really well with antibacterial soap and rinse.  Operation is simple, with one button that is held for 3 seconds to turn it off.  It also remembers which mode you were in.  This vibe is surprisingly quiet, considering the power it has.  In the same room it can be heard.  Outside a closed door, it is not.  Its size and shape reportedly make it compatible with toys that accommodate a RO-80 bullet vibrator.  I haven’t tried this yet but it’s nice to know that I have that option later on.  I’m not one to care much about packaging but I’ll just mention that the box isn’t discreet.  I guess the box could be used for storage but it comes with a nice white satin pouch that fits the vibe and the charger.  We-vibe stands behind their products by offering a one year warranty.  So if my Salsa should die in the next 11 months they will take care of it.  If they decided to send me a replacement, it would likely be a Tango since they don’t make the Salsa anymore.

Finally, the Salsa is intended to be used externally.  Its size doesn’t really make it good for vaginal insertion and it wasn’t made for that.  Definitely do not insert this vibrator anally.  It has no base to stop it from slipping up into the rectum, where you can’t reach it.  And you know what that means?  One very embarrassing trip to the ER.

It’s a shame that We-Vibe discontinued the Salsa.  If you look around maybe you can still find a place that has a few and if you do I say, grab it.  If you can’t find one then I suggest you take a chance on the Tango. Everything I’ve said here holds true for the Tango, with the exception of the shape of the tip and color choices.
