You guys, this thing is fucking amazing (and I hardly ever curse about how good something is). I get so excited when a sex toy is this good and that’s why I write these “First Impressions” posts. I just can’t wait for my full review to spread the news about an awesome product. The PalmPower is one of those. This thing wasn’t even on my radar when the good people at BMS Factory offered to send me one in exchange for an honest review. I hadn’t heard anything about it. Well, I’m here to fix that. You need to know IMG_1625about this vibrator.

The PalmPower is everything you wish the Hitachi Magic Wand could be. It’s smaller, lighter and quieter. It has a removable silicone cap[1. Additional attachments are available.] that can be cleaned and the power…. oh my god… the power. It gives the Hitachi a run for its money. I wasn’t even interested in wand massagers because I figured since I had the Hitachi, I didn’t need anything else. How wrong I was.

So, have I made it clear that I love this thing? Let me tell you why. I, like many women, never have orgasms from internal stimulation alone. That means, without assistance I don’t orgasm during sex. Sex is still awesome but it’s even more so when I can stimulate my clit at the same time and the PalmPower does that exceedingly well. It’s so much smaller than the Hitachi that it fits in between us easier. I crank this powerhouse up to full throttle and it’s like it rips the orgasms right out of me. There’s no build up, it’s just insta-gasm. And if I continue to hold it to my clit, the orgasm just keeps going. I must look and sound like a woman possessed while it’s happening but dizzyguy doesn’t seem to mind. He just has a hard time holding on for the ride.

I’m telling you, power queens need to get the PalmPower. And I’ll let you in on a little secret the Cal Ex Couture Collection Inspire is the exact same vibrator. BMS Factory (the same people behind Swan and Leaf) manufactures them for Cal Ex. SheVibe has them priced the same so it really just depends on which color scheme you like better. [2. The PalmPower comes with outlet adapters for different countries. I’m not sure if the Inspire has them.] I gotta say, it’s worth every single penny.

  1. You’ve made this sound really appealing. How do the power and pitch of vibration compare to the Salsa? Does the flexibility of the neck impair your ability to apply pressure?

    • The neck really doesn’t flex much at all. I think you could apply adequate pressure.

Compare to the power of the Salsa? Hahahaha! Not laughing at you just…. the Salsa isn’t even in the same league as the PalmPower in terms of power.

Pitch? Eh, that’s a tough one to define because of the power but I’d say it’s kind of buzzier than the rumbliest setting on the Salsa. I love my Salsa to death, don’t get me wrong. It’s the clit vibe I reach for more often than not but when I don’t want to fuck around and I want to come NOW, the PalmPower does it.

      • So buzzier than the Salsa, but not annoyingly so, and with a neck that won’t interfere with my desire for pressure? Thanks, now I have to figure out if there’s a niche in my collection not already occupied by the Salsa or Wahl so I can justify spending $70 on another vibrator. 🙂

  2. Okay, I was interested when I saw your comments on Twitter, but now you’ve got me really excited. I’m interested in wand vibrators but I need something quiet and easy to clean and put away, and this looks like it’ll suit my purposes. This looks like it’ll suit my needs!

  3. Sounds like I have to get my hands on one of these as well.

  4. Oh wow, I need one of these. You’ve made it sound like a dream wand!

  5. Commenting for the #bloghop giveaway! Also, I was happy to see this review because I was considering the hitachi but I might get this instead. Anyways, this is my favorite blog of the bloghop group because the reviews are honest, and funny, and the blog itself is visually pleasing.

  6. Does this one start out gentle? I’ve heard the Hitachi just has one speed and it’s strong as hell. Even Epiphoria says she can only use it through her underwear. I’m kind of on the lookout for something a bit stronger than the Mona 2. Granted, that thing can give me some great orgasms (not gspot ones, yet, I only ever use it on my clit). But I’m finding more often now that after I’ve cum two or three times I *feel* like I could come more, but only if it was stronger.

    • It has a nice continually adjustable range of speeds. It’s not like preset levels. You can really fine tune it to where you like it. At the very lowest end you feel it in the handle more than the head but as your ramp up a bit, you feel it transfer into the head. Kind of strange actually. But it is powerful.
The Hitachi has two speeds. Crazy and crazier, and that’s it.

      • Cool, that’s good to hear. And I guess just the replaceable cap can be removed and cleaned with soap and water? You can’t do the same for the rest of the toy? I like just being able to stick it in the water and use plain soap to clean.

        • The silicone cap pops off and you can clean it like you would any silicone sex toy. Soap+water, 10% bleach solution, boiling a couple minutes.
The body is absolutely NOT to be put in the water. It is in no way waterproof or even splash-proof. I just wipe mine down with an antibacterial wipe and that works fine.

          • Sometimes you can get gunk in the little creveses on the body under the cap, I use a qtip to fix that so it’s not a big deal, but it becomes obvious after not doing it for a little while.

But it’s still easier to clean especially if you can’t lug things to the bathroom. (parents, roommates, whatever)

          • I haven’t had to clean it like that yet. Usually, I can get into the little spaces with an antibacterial cleaning wipe.

  7. I have the inspire, and my only problem with it is overheating. There’s no even trying to draw out orgasms with it, you’ll be so sad. You have less than 10 minutes if you kept it on low speeds.

But its great. The lower settings are also very rumbly. The lowest is a bit less powerful than the highest Mona 2. Do of its to much a warm up is good.

Personally I never even touch my Clit with it. I just put it near. The rumbles Are great.

    • My PalmPower does get warm after 15-20 minutes, and quite hot if it’s used much longer than that. It’s so effective that it doesn’t see use for that long often, but as you say, it does limit its usability on those days where a long and slow buildup is in order.

  8. The PalmPower is my favorite toy. The one I couldn’t live without. Unfortunately, I AM living without it, waiting for it to be replaced for the second time in three months, because of defective power cords. Both developed a short near the plug that goes into the toy. They started by occasionally shutting off, then eventually not getting any power at all. The retailer has been great about replacing them. I’m hoping they just had a bad batch of them because I haven’t found any other complaints online of this happening.
